My company uses WageWorks for both Commuter Benefits and FSA. While I've never had a problem with FSA, the commuter benefits are consistently an issue. My transit agent doesn't accept the wageworks cards at the machines because the amount on the card is less than the amount of my monthly ticket. So I was told by them 1.5 years ago to just fax in a "special handling commuter form" and I receive a check with the amount I had to pay out of pocket. I have been doing this for 16 months. Now suddenly, I've submitted "too many" of these forms and they won't let me do it anymore. Now I have $390 sitting with them and I cannot spend it on my commuter expenses. They claim they have alerted me to this issue, which is not true. I've spoken to several reps about this and a supervisor - all were VERY RUDE, unaccommodating and lacked any empathy whatsoever. They interrupted me when I was speaking and didn't listen to a word I was saying. In fact, this was the first time I have ever escalated any type of issue to a supervisor and I was surprised that the supervisor wasn't any better. Worst experience ever and I am cancelling my commuter benefits going forward. I would rather not save on the pre-tax dollars than deal with these people.
