Family Dollar - Store associate

On Saturday 10/9/21, I was shopping in store #13002, located at 12430 Flatlands Ave, with my 2 grandchildren. The sales associate/cashier (A0000000031010 ARC:Z3, was very rude, used profanity, and created a hostile shopping experience for me and my grandchildren. I was checking out with her and she became very agitated that I was moving too slow, as she repeatedly stated "I'm trying to get the [protected]@#& out of here" As I handed her a coupon which was not applicable for that date, she rudely flung it at me saying that "these customers need to learn how to read!". She continued to say that "they think we're stupid. Just because I live in The Boulevard, doesn't mean that I'm dumb". I tried to apologize and explain to her that I was not trying to insult her. I honestly, overlooked the date. I thought that the coupon was for the Saturday discount special. She explained that the coupon was for Sunday, 10/10/21. I told her that I would pay for some of the items in my cart, and return on the next day (Sunday) to purchase the other items that would have honored the 10% off coupon. She became very, rude and impatient telling me that I'm lucky that she's getting ready to get off because she would have been mad as a F*&%@ to put the items away. I offered to put them back on the shelf at the end of my sales transaction. My grandchildren who are 9 & 10 years old, became so nervous because she started instructing them to place my bags into my cart as she packed them. I kindly told her that I would speak to them about helping me. I told her that her demeanor was unacceptable. Again she reminded me that she wanted to go home and that I was holding her up. She was slamming my items into the bag, and speaking rudely to me during this entire time. She even summoned the next customer to come forward; causing this person to act frustrated with me. Not to mention, she did not take into consideration the adherence for the social distancing policy posted in the store. Finally, I was ready to complete my purchase, when she directed me to select my payment method. I asked her if she could go back to the screen where I could enter my phone number to retrieve my rewards (as she had bypassed the information in her haste to clock out) She refused and sighed stating that "she's ready to slap someone" during this time she is giving eyes to the other customer, who is directly next to me mumbling in frustration. At this point, I asked my grandchildren to help me move my bags and cart away from the register. I told my grandchildren "I'm ok", as the expressions on their faces looked very uncomfortable. I said I am trying to keep my calm, and the cashier put her hands on her hips and said "WHAT?", I said Ms. I'm speaking to my grandchildren. Once again she uttered the fact that she felt like slapping someone. I then said to her (as I felt threatened and disrespected), "Violence is never the solution". I told her to enjoy the rest of her evening, and we left. As we were riding the elevator in our building, a stranger said to me "are you ok?" She was referring to the incident in Family Dollar. She explained that the cashier is always rude, and ghetto".
When I reached home to my daughter's house, I was unpacking, as my grandchildren was telling my daughter about what had happened. I came across a bag that contained a store scanner. The cashier was so rude, and in a rush to"go home" that she packed the store scanner. I am too nervous to return to the store alone to return it. I will however, wait until someone can accompany me.
I am writing you because I am disabled, and I suffer from anxiety. The ordeal that I endured was very unprofessional and caused me extreme nervousness, making me emotional, and afraid to visit the store location again.
