Long stressful story short, it has been over six months now for them to evade any responsibility for defective products they sold and delivered, even though it was reported at the time of installation and within three days of delivery. They now ask me to get it resolved with the manufacturers directly with absolutely no shame.

I've got this email from the Office of NY State Attorney General, and been wondering about next reasonable steps.
"... In the case of individual complaints, our role is limited to that of mediator. Mediation is a voluntary procedure and we are not empowered to make judgments of fact. Therefore, we cannot force a settlement. Only a court may determine what rights you may have in this matter. ..."
Welcome. Please follow the process with the Attorney General's Office. They don't represent you and that is what your email is saying but they have a duty to protect the public from companies like this. Keep your documentation and notes from phone calls and emails. Be persistent. It should pay off. Spread the word, let the world know how this company is. When their sales go down maybe they'll change their game.
