Aeromexico - Discrimination against disabled passengers

I purchased airline tickets on 10/10/23 fkgaro for myself (a handicapped passenger) and a caretaker to accompany me on travel to mazatlan, mexico for a medical evaluation. Unaware that aeromexico discriminates against disabled persons, I purchased the tickets online with no advance written or spoken notice of how aeromexico adversely deals with handicapped travelers. I have flown as a disabled passenger for 13 yrs on u.S. Airlines and it is typical practice for all airlines to accommodate the transportation of necessary life sustaining medical equip for disabled persons at no cost, I further understand that d.O. T. And ada laws encourage and enforce such acts for disabled persons. When I contacted aeromexico special services desk as is routinely required if you are disabled and require special assistance such as a wheelchair, oxygen etc, and/or are travelling with medical equipment, I was told that no such consideration would be given to me that allows my life-sustaining equip to travel free of charge with me. I was told I would pay up to $2000 for my equip to travel. I corresponded back and forth with aeromexico and the d.O. T. For several days with unsuccessful results on behalf of aeromexico. I did not anticipate absorbent costs to fly my equip, nor would I have ever purchased a ticket with an airline that discriminates against handicapped travelers, & that has no interest in assisting the disabled when travelling. I asked aeromexico to refund my ticket cost & I would purchase new tickets with an airline that supports the disabled, but aeromexico refused to refund me. I abandoned the flight because I could not afford the cost of transporting my medical equipment and purchased an airline ticket with aa who, without incident, accommodated my med equip on the outgoing and return flights at no cost as is what is routine practice. I want a refund as I only abandoned my flight due to aeromexico's inability and refusal to accommodate me as a disabled person.

Claimed loss: $250.00

Desired outcome: REFUND MONEY PAID FOR TICKETS.
