Today, (June 14, 2010) I purchased a PrePaid gift Card made by the Ultimate Game Card company for an online game. I bought it from the Seven Eleven in Mahwah, NJ. I brought the card home and followed all the instructions perfectly. When I went to type the code in, it said;
" The card could not be found. Please ensure that you have entered the voucher PIN correctly; if it has been entered correctly, please contact Billing Support by emailing [protected]@jagex.com. "
On the receipt it says the card has been activated, so I went back to the store. The VERY RUDE employees at the store stated that they are not going to give my money back, nor exchange the card for a new one. I furiously tried to convince them to change their minds but they did not. The employees working there are completely rude, and do not help whatsoever. I am very disappointed I wasted my money on this card, especially since the card company does not even have and contact details, so i cannot contact them to complain. I demand that these gift cards be removed from the store on 360 Ridge Rd, Mahwah, New Jersey because THEY DO NOT WORK.
DID you not notice the statment at the bottom of the recipt?
We cannot offer refunds on gift or phone cards.
in your complaint you listed the cards billing e-mail for card problems
thats the method you must use. It states this on the card. Please read the cards before you buy to avoid confusion.
"I furiously tried to convince them to change their minds but they did not."
Well AHH-DUHH!
If you came ### to me, and trying to "furiously convince" me, of course I'd be rude to you. Did you read ALL of the instructions?
F-in r-tard.
" The card could not be found. Please ensure that you have entered the voucher PIN correctly; if it has been entered correctly, please contact Billing Support by emailing billingsupport@jagex.com. "
Have you tried emailing them?
"I am very disappointed I wasted my money on this card, especially since the card company does not even have and contact details, so i cannot contact them to complain."
Um...?
Do I even need to make fun of you?
I have to disagree with you on that one, all those cards, or vouchers are non-refundable, it most likely says that on the card, voucher or receipt itself . If the receipt it says the card has been activated, then it's no longer in the stores hand. You have to contact Ultimate Gamer Card.
And I would imagine that the staff would be rude, just think of how many people would try to rip the store off by saying it wasn't activated. And just imagine how rediculous it would look if someone came in saying their card didn't work, then the receipt said it did.
Would you believe it?
It's not the stores fault, it's not your fault, it's Ultimate's fault.
You're complaint is with them, not the store.
