On Monday, March 1, 2021, I was scheduled for bloodwork for a wellness exam. My appointment was scheduled for 11:00 m, but I arrived early. After checking in using the Kiosk, I was seated in the waiting room. A male dressed in nurse uniform asked to see my insurance card because the kiosk did not scan it properly I handed it to him at the window. He asked if I needed a mask, and I told him I was not able to wear a mask. He said that I take a seat and I would be seen shortly. When it all was over, I thought it to be an enjoyable experience. Today, Friday, March 5, 2021, I was sent back to Labcorp for lyme disease blood work. I checked in at the kiosk and grabbed a seat as before. I was approached by a black nurse with major black-titude and had a mask shoved in my face without a word said. I told her I was not able to wear a mask. She replied with the same black attitude that I had to go wait in my car and someone would come get me. I had an operation just last week that I am still recovering from. That operation makes it painful to walk, sit or stand from a seated position, yet I was being forced to walk, sit, and rise from a seated position more because I could not wear a mask, while others resembling crack-head were able to sit comfortably in the waiting room because they had a mask. Prior to last week's surgery, I had to take a COVID test as a prerequisite to surgery. It was negative. Feeling a grave injustice had been done by being given the "back of the bus' treatment, treated like a servant forbidden to use the front entrance, I called ADA (American Disabilities Association). As I was explaining to the ADA rep. I noticed a Black male in plainclothes standing at my vehicle window. I rolled it down a bit and asked"Yes?"He responded with" I've been calling you. Now, if there is going to be a problem..."His attitude makes the black nurse seem saintly. I responded with"F-you!" I did not appreciate being addressed in that tone and with that level of attitude, nor did I appreciate being shoved outside like one with a contagious plague. After making my outrage known with colorful language, he told me I could not come back inside. Due to my many disabilities, I was denied service, or the opportunity to return for future services. I am still uncertain if I have Lyme disease. I returned to my doctor's office to let them know to never send me to Labcorp again. I returned home to find out the idiots at Labcorp called my home phone while I was forced to sit in their parking lot. I filed a complaint with ADA and DOJ and am awaiting contact.
Desired outcome: Willing to mediate.
