The shoes were a birthday gift and I didn't wear them immediately so I kept them in my closet in the original box. Upon recently wearing them over a period of 2-3 days I found the breathable insert along both sides of both shoes was deteriorated and broken resulting in shoes that are not usable despite having less than 30 hours of use. I find this to be of concern because a good set of leather shoes should not be degraded by the use of a cheap plastic insert.
