Jackson Hewitt

Went to the Jackson Hewitt in Missoula, MT because of the $750 refund advance program. I was charged $560 in tax preparation fees! Never got the refund advance. I got a letter in the mail from the "payday loan" place that does the advances. There are all kinds of restrictions to get the advance: Depends on the number of dependents, depends on the amount of the refund, etc. I was never told this by Jackson Hewitt. I could have gone to someone else for much cheaper if I would have been told that. I emailed Jackson Hewitt on the web and they said it was the manager in Missoula's problem. I both called and left a message and wrote a letter to the local manager - Tom. He didn't even bother to respond. Horrible management. And the national chain won't do anything either. DON'T GO THERE. GO SOMEWHERE CHEAPER.
