Today I experienced a horrible interaction between the customer right before me and the Cashier. The customer had a return, the cashier looked at the items and instantly said, "I can't return this because you bought it from another store." The customer and I then looked at the Return Policy that is posted on a Big Red sign right next to the register and it Clearly read, " If you are not satisfied with your merchandise then you can return it to ANY FAMILY DOLLAR." The cashier proceeded to say that the policy didn't matter and she can call her store manager to confirm what she was saying. Once she got SOMEONE on her cellphone, she then proceeded to tell that person the tell the customer that they do no return merchandise from another store. The person on the cellphone just repeated exactly what the cashier said. No Hello to the customer or apology about the confusion or nothing. Then the woman on the cellphone proceeded to say, "If you want to stand there all night complaining about the return you can", then hung up. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Something needs to be done about this..
