I intended to purchase a strand of clear mini lights and asked the cashier if she would check to see that they worked. She said they didn't do that and didn't have the time to do so. I asked her to check with the manager. When she returned, she informed me the manager stated there were no outlets to check the lights and that they didn't do that. I should purchase them and then bring them back if they didn't work. She said there were no outlets in the office either when I stated there weren't outlets in the office?That seemed quite inappropriate to say such to a customer. I am not the biggest customer of Dollar Tree, but I do shop there several times a month and never spend less than $10 to $15. The on-duty manager's first name today is Sue at store #5529. I did not get the name of the cashier. I did tell the cashier that I have shopped at other Dollar Tree stores and never had a request to check an electrical item refused. I do 95 to 99% of my shopping at Dollar Tree; 2090 Northdale Blvd NW; Coon Rapids, MN 55433 store #2574 and have always had superb service and friendly cashiers. That store's staff should be highly commended. I will not shop at the 5529 store again and will encourage others not to, as well. P.S. - I know the manager was lying about not having any outlets as they are several in each Dollar Tree store. A store cannot function without them; I'm not stupid.
