My mom and I were purchasing a videogame for my younger brother. We bought a brand new copy, we bought the warranty and kept the receipt, and there's not even a game in it.
We bought a 70$ empty case.
So now it's the day of his birthday, we have an empty case, and the roads are closed across the state because of blizzard conditions. It could have ended very poorly, because he has autism and has been hyperfixated on the game for a long time. Luckily my sister owns the same switch game so she gave him her copy to download and play for now, but it's still shocking to buy a brand new game and receive an empty case.
