Meijer - This store needs to have a better manager

I am so tired of the meijer store in ypsilanti, mi not having the door near the pharmacy, at 8:30a.!

If you are so poor you can not have a person at the door, when the store opens at 6a, hire!

I worked at meijer as a greeter and I was there at anytime!

Also, I had $200 worth of products at 9a and there was no one to check me out!

The assistant manager walked by and I asked him and he laughed and said nothng was open!

What is wrong I am 76 years and having been going to this meijer for over 20 years the store is getting worse!

Do not have the manager call me y o u fix it!

Better business bureau is going to know about the 1 door open a health situation!

Desired outcome: FIX THE PROBLEMS!

Meijer - checkout personnel

On 1/10/20 I watched SHARI mistreat the customer in front of me, and I am offended by her treatment of this individual. He was a very polite man with two young sons, attempting to pay for his purchases using his food stamp card. The card was registering zero, though when he accessed his account using his phone he saw a balance on the card of over $190 (his bill was around $105). Shari was not helpful. Rather than redirect the gentleman to customer service or attempt in any way to help him rectify the problem with his card, Shari said, "it's not my card!" and continued to tell him over and over that the balance was showing zero. I am certain that Shari does not have the skill to fix the problem the man had, but she could have easily taken him to customer service. Instead she was rude, unhelpful, and disrespectful. I was ashamed of her behavior.

She chose to make him and his two boys stand and wait and to take care of my order. I should have stopped her, but I am sad to say that I did not. After she completed my order, she called for a manager and described the situation completely inaccurately. She said she had a customer that wanted to speak to a manager -- he did not ask for a manager, but rather continued to try to pay his bill. She said he had no money on his card -- the food stamp system showed that he did but your system would not register it. She said his two "kids were running around eating the food he had not paid for" -- his two polite sons were sitting on a bench patiently waiting for their dad, and yes, they were eating chips from a bag he was trying to purchase (by the way, this item was the only thing in his cart that was not completely healthy).

I have been a Meijer customer for 30 years. I am happy to meet with you in person to verify my story, because I urge you to reprimand, and yes punish, Shari for being a hateful, rude, and arrogant human being in your employ.

Please contact me to let me know how I can move this complaint forward. I can be reached at [protected]@gmail.com, or [phone number removed]. My UPC receipt code for my transaction that day is A002704AIU0BVXS.

Meijer - checkout process

6/24/19 Problem: My cashier, forgot to take off my coupons before she had completed the transaction. She indicated that I could go to the Service Desk to have them process my coupons that it would not be an issue. There was only one worker at the Service desk, no supervisors in sight anywhere. The service desk worker, William was extremely slow. I was told to wait in line. 20 minutes later I received my coupon money. My groceries were paid for and bagged. It was a hot day and my ice cream was melting.

I understand that the cashier made a mistake, we all do. My issue is that there should be a simpler way of obtaining the coupon credit. A supervisor or head cashier should have walked it over to the Service Desk and immediately gotten the credit OR had some way to correct it at the cashier station. My time is valuable and it was one of your employees mistake. I haven't been back to the store since then and do not trust that if I have coupons or a big order that it would be processed correctly.
