My husband and I went through Wendy's Drive-Thru yesterday afternoon to pick up a quick bite to eat. The woman's greeting over the speaker was extremely friendly. I proceeded to place my order. She asked me what size drink I would like and I asked her what size came with the meal. She told me small - there is an upcharge for medium or large. I said one moment, and then asked my husband what size he would like. I told her small. Then she asked me what type of drink - I told her Orange pop (which I had already told her earlier). She asked me to repeat twice. Then my husband yelled over to the speaker "Orange" (Hoping she would hear this time.) She immediately got rude with us and told us she would not be able to place our order. We were both shocked at her behavior and asked to speak to the manager, which she replied that she was the manager. I asked her for her name, which she would not give. We left the drive-thru area and I called the Wendy's location to speak to the manager. The person who answered indicated that she was attending to the drive-thru at the time. (NOTE: This was late in the afternoon and we were the only car in the drive-thru.) I told her that she was extremely rude and refused to take our order. I would like to escalate my complaint to her supervisor. She took my name and number.
We had a gift card for Wendy's. Therefore we proceeded to another location and placed our food order without any issues. However, if the first location does not follow-up with an apology, I will let as many people as possible know how badly we were treated.
Desired outcome: Apology from the rude woman herself for her poor customer service and example to her employees.
