Please add us to the growing list of customers - will be former and never again customers - who were accused of causing damage to a car with no notification until receiving a demand to pay for it along with an unprofessional letter and dark, blurry pictures of damage we know we did not cause. There was zero damage done.
We are being asked to pay just over $1,000 for this damage, which we could have been notified of and given an opportunity to view in person, and are being pressured by your employee Chad Davis to contact our insurance company to take care of it.
He refuses to answer our questions about our rights and recourse while the manager at our location where we rented has told us not to be concerned, he will take care of it.
In doing research I have found many, many people have had and are having similar experiences and that there is a class action lawsuit and consumer complaints.
I found a complaint on this website as part of this search and wanted to share so that others can beware of this unscrupulous - quite possibly fraud - by Enterprise Rental Car and its Damage Recovery Unit.
We will be escalating our complaint to your CEO, general counsel, customer experience director, attorneys general in our home state of Michigan and in Oklahoma, where Chad Davis is based, as well as classaction.org and consumer protection agencies. What a horrible horrible business, taking money from customers while not knowing the duress and stress this unethical business may put on them.
Desired outcome: To provide recourse, proof and due process to customers being accused of damaging vehicles.
