My family and I spent this past weekend (1/18/19 - 1/20/19) at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in downtown Detroit. We were charged $30+ tax/day for valet parking. We experienced problems both days attempting to pick up and drop off our car per the valet parking team at this hotel. Problems ranged from: (1) long pick up times (15-30 min) both based on texting our car ticket # ahead of time and providing them the actual ticket, (2) On 2 occasions our car keys were misplaced, thus causing some of these long pick up times, (3) much confusion and at times rudeness by the valet team as they scramble to find our car keys and where the car was parked, (4) When I attempted to speak to the hotel management personnel, they deferred me to deal with the valet parking supervisor vs. anything they can do to help me... I realize we had bad weather this past weekend in Detroit and there were many events going on, but at the end of the day I paid a premium price for valet parking and I feel that I received a "take it or leave us" parking attitude by both the valet team and/or hotel management.
