This complaint applies to the Joann fabric store in 6161 Columbia Crossing Dr, Columbia, MD 21045
Their fabric cutting counter employee (Mishka) refused to provide service to me because I didn't have a ticket. Apparently, Joann has a ticket machine somewhere near the fabric cutting station, but if you didn't know about it, you will end up wasting your time by standing in line to get a piece of fabric cut.
Their store manager was grumpy and rude to me when I tried to explain to her that I didn't know they had a ticket machine and by the time a realized it, several people formed a line behind me. I was asking for them to make an exception and serve me instead of sending me to back of the line. The manager rudely interrupted me and basically hinted that I should shut up and do what their store rules dictate. I am sorry, maybe I am confused about the definition of customer service. This experience resembles the type of “service” you could get from the government agency, but this is a retail business and last time I checked, they depend upon their customers for their survival. I am obviously not going to be one of their customers anymore. Thank God for the Internet!
Samething happened to me yesterday at their Portland SouthEast store. It was July 11 at around 330pm. I totally understand how you feel! Their store manager is so crazy. Her role was supposed to solve problems and to help their valuable customers but the way she communicates and handling things made me feel like it was my false for not Knowing the number system and I deserve the punishment. They didn't call out numbers before serving the next customer while I was standing there the whole time. I thought it was just a typical line. After some arguments, she told me they will not serve me anymore. How rude!
