The store at 800 Kansas Ave, Kansas City, KS is a very busy store, but their baskets and carts are continuously being stolen to the point now that they have none. I addressed the problem to them and suggested they tag the carts like some stores do with valuable merchandise that alerts the store when it is taken outside the store perimeter without paying. They said they did that at one time but the corporate office advised them to discontinue doing that, why I don't know. It's very frustrating when you patronize this store and have to limit your purchases all due to not having anything to put your items in, and just buy what you can carry to the register. I've seen the carts abandoned in the area, and have thought a couple of times of hauling them back to the store in my truck, just so I would have something to shop with. I know quality employees are hard to find during the pandemic, but try to address the cart and basket situation, as this has to be costly to your company and frustrating to customers. Tagging the carts and baskets to alarm employees they are being taken off the premises seems to be the only way to solve this. Put a notice on the carts that they are monitored and not to be taken from the store parking lot.
