I am a former employee at the Dollar Tree here in Junction City, Kansas. I work for Vocational Rehabilitation of services because of my disabilities to help me obtain and keep employment. After visiting the doctor I was given new instructions on medications to take. What are the medications cause me to be sick on and off all week thus I had to make some call outs. I woke up with a fever and I had to work a double the next day just to call in and have the assistant manager Lori berate me about having a fever and not being able to work that day. Ironically she told me there was no one to cover my shift come to find out there was someone available, Keven. I spoke to him about my call out yesterday. The assistant manager was already looking to cover my double shift The assistant manager was already looking to cover my double shift I have to take the hours away from me and give them to someone else so when I called in I believe that her attitude was meant to provoke me knowing that I have bipolar 1 disorder into quitting by hanging up on me before I was able to fully explain the reason I was calling out. So now there's no possibility of me getting my job back because I was sick I was angry and she was provoking me I would just like to inform you that if this is a common practice and she is allowed to do this to other employees that should be some type of reprimand. I know that I cannot always control my emotions so I do apologize for quitting and would of enjoyed working with Miss Beverly and Miss Patsy but Miss Lori just does not know how to talk to people.
I work with Vocational Rehabilitation, not for them. Typo
