I went for a free fitness session to try the place out and was subjected to high pressure sales tactics (as in, "what am I going to sign you up for today"). My daughter and I went in a day or so later just to work out on the machines but were approached and offered a free training session which we took. I liked that trainer, I did not like the trainer who pressured me into signing a contract, so I canceled a session with the first trainer. He actually called me up to try to pressure me into returning for a session with him--and I didn't like his approach in the first place. I decided to cancel my contract and look for a place where I could just work out without being hassled. Bottom line, yes Fitness 19 charges less up front but you will have no peace from the trainers who will be constantly trying to up sell you.
