Olive Garden - Service - Manager of Olive Garden in Melrose Park, IL

On Sunday, July 23, 2023, at 3:00 pm a group of us was celebrating a death anniversary of our loved one. Long story short, I ordered the seafood alfredo (with scallops and shrimps) I also wanted chicken added. When the food came to the table there was no scallops. I ask the waiter was scallops included in the seafood alfredo, he said yes. He went back and told the kitchen to add scallops. Then here come the rudest manager I ever encountered in my life MCKENNA! She asked to see my food, which I showed her and one of the other guests had the shrimp alfredo and she asked her to see her food then asked her to move her shrimps over implying that we were lying about having no scallops in my dish. She offered to take my food back and bring me the corrected order. I said just bring the scallops because at this point, I was feeling some kind of way and I didn't want her handling my food. We ate and had a good time. I ask the waitress which was excellent if she can have McKenna come back over because I didn't feel right. I explained to McKenna that that was bad customer service and to her actions earlier. I didn't want free food or anything I just wanted to let her know about her actions and you're asking people to move food over and you examining plates like we are lying about it. Me and my family have good money and we don't need anything for free. I did ask her for an apology or to just listen and she listened and replied, have a good day and walked off in the rudest way anyone could. So, at this point I'm livid, we just paid our bill and left the restaurant. I will never visit another Olive Garden again, if this is what management looks like. She definitely needs some training. I would like a full refund of my money spent and an apology. Please respond because I can take this to the next level where media and everyone is involved.

Olive Garden employee here:

I am absolutely livid about the treatment you received from an Olive Garden manager! If she worked at the restaurant I work at, she very well may have been fired on the spot.

That is inappropriate behavior of a manager (or any other employee). Please know, however, that not all Olive Graden managers are as ignorant and rude as she was.

If you seriously do want a refund, you can contact Olive Garden Corporate. The contact information should be on their website.

I hope you get your money back because that's absolutely what you deserve.
