Went on Thursday last week to get back brakes and rotors done at the Lombard location. Typically takes 1.5-2 hours, they said. 3 hours later called and they said not ready yet because they have the wrong parts, waited another couple hours, still no call so I show up and my car is still up in the air. They told me just a few more minutes and I waited 30min more. Took the care up front, didn't do a test drive. Went about my day and the next day, Friday, I noticed odd noises, not normal. I also got a flat, so when taking the tire off to put on a spare I notice that the brake pad is on backwards… so we looked at the other brake pad and it wasn't even there! Not sure if it ever was. How dangerous! The guy who did my brakes obviously should not be under a car, or maybe he was high as a kite doing my car. Either way, it's so messed up. I called the manager at Lombard and told I'm my car isn't safe to drive and I feel like he should accommodate me and tow my car and fix it correctly. Not to mention, I want a damn refund. He refused and said I have to prove it's their fault. Then he tells me he's having a hard time contacting a tow. So I get a tow on my own and send it elsewhere to get it fixed. I've been calling all week to customer service because the manager at Lombard told me I had to for refunds. Every day I've called and the customer service ladies keep saying a regional manager will call. Never have I received a call. Called again today to let them know I'm filing a dispute with my bank. Screw them. I'm pissed. What a lousy manager and regional manager, and [censored]ty mechanics who might one day kill someone.
