Mobile device remains under the 1 year manufacturers warranty. Several hours of time over a period of two weeks has been wasted with phone calls and emails placed to customer support and the executive escalations team. Their only "take it or leave it" offer was: accept a significantly less expensive and more inferior model phone with absolutely no warranty.
Before buying any brand, do a online search of the manufacturers name (ie. Motorola) and add keywords like "complaints". I just did, and it appears that thousands of people have recently complained about their experiences with Motorola and their supposed customer support teams.
