Jewel-Osco

On this snowy evening in Carol Stream IL
We decided to have jewel grilled chicken since we were practicing keto. We already have plenty of sides and salad to complete the meal. We are literally 5 min from this jewel store. After getting home to eat the chicken we discovered it was hard to touch and looked old and tasted old. It was only an 8 piece so at first I just put the first piece in the garbage and let that go. But each piece after that one was all old. Unaware that the deli closes at 8 I wouldn't have gotten it which was at 7:23. When I called back to express my unsatisfaction with the product the lady responded "what do you want me to do" then hung up on me. I call and asked for the store manager, but I got the assistant store manager, and he responded "just bring it back, so he can see" what! Back out in the snow! It would have been better to just say how can we compensate this. But come back out into the snow why? The deli is already closed! We work tomorrow.
