Regal Cinemas - Employee cursing at me

I have been going to Regal (Oakwood Plaza) for 30 years. I go with my disabled son who is 33 now, I have been taking him there since he was 3 y.o.

Even though there is a lot of turnover at that particular theather, even the new staff knows me since I go there once or twice a week.

Tonight I went to see Meg2 at 7:45 pm. As I was entering the theather the "security guard" asks me is I have tickets and I replied "no, I have to buy them".

As I am waiting on the line for 10 mins. an employee approaches me (now bear in mind I was finally at the front of the line ready to place my order) and he asks to look at my bag. I said why, I have been coming here for 30 years and never has anyone asked to see my bag. He replied well, I have to.

When I refused, the security officer comes over and says you cant buy a ticket until he checks your bag. I asked him to get a manager, but he doesn't and asks me to get out of the line.

We go to get a Manager who checks my bag and then I proceed to go to my movies.

As I am leaving (since this manager is a very young kid who doesn't seem to be very experienced), I decided to take a picture of the Security Guard so I can complain about him when I see one of the Managers that know me.

The security guard says: "you can't take a picture of me" so, I showed him that I was deleting it. Even though he saw me deleting the picture, he proceeds to curse me and my son and says, I shouldn't even let you inside the theather.

I was very upset (I am 57 y.o. and have never been disrespected the way this man disrespected me. I told him do not curse on my but he proceed on cursing my disabled son and me.

When the movie ended (mind you, I did not enjoy it at all after all this drama), I spoke to Pavel (one of the managers who has worked there a little longer) and he advised me to speak to Anette (another manager who has worked there for a very long time).

What kind of treatment is this? If you have a policy to check bags a sign should be posted where everyone can see it and everyone should be checked, not profiling people like what happened to us.

I am very upset about this and I believe further training should be provided to your employees and a sign should be posted specifying the theaters policies on checking bags.

Desired outcome: The manager should call me and apologize and the (new) Security card should be reprimanded and trained, as well as the new empolyees.
