Winn-Dixie - Customer Service

I went to Winn Dixie at 99 Eglin Parkway, Fort Walton Beach, FL to cash in lottery tickets. I went to the customer service desk that was unmanned and waited for service. After approximately five minutes I caught the eye of the person working the self checkout area that told me "She can see you and is in the safe" - that was it, no greeting or when I could expect to be assisted. More time elapsed and the counter worker came out. I stated I wanted to cash in 4 tickets that I knew were winners and check 3 others that I was unsure about. The Associate told me "you can check it yourself over there" I said "you cannot check it for me" she again stated "you can do it yourself over there". At that time I had enough and told her that she is Customer service and I expected her to check it for me. She again told me that "you can do it yourself." A young man came up and she gave him my ticket/receipt and told him to finish helping me. I asked the new associate if she was a manager and he said no. I asked him if a manager was working and he told me Paul and Jared were working and they were out in the store. I thanked him and went to look for the manager. I found Paul and after telling him I had a complaint he said he could not help me and called Jared. Jared came to the front and asked me what was wrong. I explained to him that Customer Service is what keeps loyal customers coming back instead of going to the competition. He listened, did not interrupt, but I could tell he was not very interested. Customer Service is really all a store has to offer. There may be some cost savings here and there but what really keeps loyal customers coming back? I have shopped that Winn Dixie for many years since I work near it and I have to say it was the worst experience I have ever had. I personally work in customer service as a Supervisor for a government permitting office and I know understand good customer service and the concept. Words cannot express how disappointed I was with the service I received on all levels today and I cannot in good faith recommend your store to any of my associates at this time. The time that all this took place was approximately 1:30 in the afternoon.

Desired outcome: I would like to know that this comment has been addressed and that the parties involved were notified. I hope that no one in the future receives this type of service. I recommend additional training for the associates involved.
