I submitted a cover letter and resume to a job posting I found on indeed.com. I copied and pasted the cover letter into the application provided by indeed.com, then attached the two-page resume. When I received the confirmation of transmittal to the employer, indeed.com attached a "copy" of my resume. What they submitted on my behalf to the employer does not even resemble my resume. There is only one page, and it contains bits and pieces randomly selected from the two pages. It looked more like a ransom note than a professional resume. There is absolutely no chance the employer will read past the first line. There aren't even any full sentences, the words are just scrambled up, and most of my information is missing completely.
I lost any possibility of getting this job because indeed.com is completely incompetent and unprofessional. I don't know who they are or what their scam is, but this could have cost me my reputation in this field. And it scares me to know the clowns at indeed.com have my personal information. I would warn anyone thinking about applying for a job through indeed.com to think very carefully before doing so. I would rather never be hired at all then relive the embarrassment of having a potential employer see the nonsensical joke of a resume indeed.com submitted "on my behalf". I'll never look at your scam of a website again, and I will spread the word.
