Dear Ross Corporate & whomever else this may pertain,
I live in Grand Junction, Colorado, which is home to one Ross store location.
I am writing to you in hopes of addressing an inaccessibility issue pertaining to that store, located at 2464 Hwy 6 And 50, Grand Junction, CO, 81505.
As you can see in the picture below (courtesy of a Google review), the Ross mentioned above has a wheelchair accessibility symbol decal beside the entrance/exit door (white wheelchair on dark blue background), while failing to have a wheelchair accessibility/push button or any sort of wheelchair accessibility features.
As a wheelchair user who has frequented this store, I can attest that these heavy doors with no wheelchair button are completely inaccessible and very hard (even impossible) to navigate and maneuver for myself and other disabled individuals.
At the least, I would appreciate that the store not have the wheelchair accessibility/ friendly decal next to their door, unless, upon my bringing this to your attention, the store takes action towards installing a wheelchair button/ makes this effort to make the store truly accessible.
I write this to you, not just for my own benefit, but also on behalf of many other disabled individuals in my community that are negatively impacted by this issue.
I, and I'm certain my community, would greatly appreciate you taking action to install a wheelchair button. I myself have loved and been obsessed with Ross for years, and I would be so grateful to be able to enter and exit the store independently, without help from other customers or employees, or by trying to open and close the door myself which could cause harm to my chronically ill body. I firmly believe this independence would allow me, and other disabled individuals, to fully enjoy our Ross shopping experience.
Thank you so much for reading this, and for your time, efforts, and consideration.
Desired outcome: Wheelchair button installed w/ automatic doors, or wheelchair accessibility decal removed.
