I was at your store in Vacaville, CA today around 10:55am.
I noticed when I came out one of you was helping another customer load items into her car, I also noticed that two carts were on the side of her car and one of them slowly ran into the back of my car I could see this as I’m walking out tube store to my car.
I asked your employee, “DID someone let this cart run into my car”? And from there he went on to say I accused him of saying it was his cart, and he went on a racist rant saying “how black people in Vacaville are uneducated and are stupid and if you are not middle eastern you are dumb and racists”.
I began to continue to record your employee going on this rant and I said to him several times “I didn’t accuse you, I asked you”. Your employee went on to ask me if I heard about what happened in New York, and I said, of course I did. At that point, I felt very threatened and defenseless in my actions and words.
Your store employee grabbed the two carts and was walking away yelling at me in his language which I didn’t understand.
I immediately went back in to talk to your store manager Josh who said “I’m sorry Chantel I’m
Sorry he said that”. He never ONCE said “I will talk to my employee, I will do this or I will do that” he did not seem too concerned.
I have 3 videos of this incident, and I’m not informing you all that I will be getting a lawyer and contacting the Bay Area local news outlets. This was uncalled for, and HomeGoods needs to retrain their employees on how to interact with customers.
This world is very different now and I understand people have bad days and for a person that you guys hired to say things like this is unacceptable and I will not let this go away easily.
Desired outcome: Unsure at this time, but the employee should not have a job their if this is how he represents his employer!
