California Department of Motor Vehicles [CA DMV] - This is meant to help others to avoid situations like this.

Adriana Fuentes was asked by one of her employees (who was helping me) if a W-2 can be used to verify a SSN. She hesitated and thought about then answered "no."

I did not have my phone on me at the time but when I got to a computer and saw on the DMV that a W-2 can be used to verify your SSN.

So I waited for two hours in line to be turned away because an employee of the DMV who was not in touch with their own procedures.

This is meant to help others to avoid situations like this.
