I, an African American women was looking for help in the jewrley making alise when I approached a sales associate for help. She was with someone so I stated when you are finish can you help me. She said yes, when she was finished I made sure she could see me waiting when another family approached her with a question. Since I was standing there I expected the sales clerk to say that I was next and she will be with them aftterwards but instead she proceeded to help them out and even voulenteer to take them to what they were looking for in the store. When they walked pass me I stated that I was waiting and I was next. She looked back and said I'll be right back or I'll get someone to help you. It was really schocking how this young lady took it upon her self who she wanted to help or who she would help 1st. So, I went and got in line paid for the merchandise that I did have and requested to speak the the manager. The Manager's name was Michael another surprise came when he he started to defend the sales clerk. He did say that she should have helped me next and this was a training issue, but kept on defending the sales clerk.
This is a training issue that made me feel like it was racially motivated.
I would like to hear back from the Michaels Management.
