I haven't had such an inept Manager for quite some time in retail. She couldn't figure out why my gift card wouldn't work in the credit card machine nor could she suggest another option for me. Basically it was "there is nothing we can do". She asked me if it had money on it, that obviously was not the issue. It continued to say "card read error" when I slide it through. I walked out frustrated and without the product and also without so much as an apology from a Manager. It truly blows my mind the attitude she had initially. I then went back in and asked if I could try a different register that would take the visa gift card (after again confirming my gift card had the money available before walking back in). She had a complete rude attitude and when I thanked her she couldn't have enough manners to apologize nor thank me for purchasing shoes there. Perhaps some customer service training could improve her skill set. Very poor treatment and I won't be returning to Ross. Blows my mind how much service is lacking, truly disappointing!
