California Department of Motor Vehicles [CA DMV]

My husband had his paperwork to apply for a new real id. We are traveling on dec. 21st from az. to ca. the blythe ca. dmv took his licence and issued a temporary paper. We tried to cancel the real id so he can use his licence as a picture id to board the plane. This was on dec. 16th at 3:30 a young lady says she has to get a manager and we had to wait. Daniel came and said no we can not get it back. Check tsa will take this temporary paper. We have no picture id. We want his other licence which had not expired back for our trip. I offered several options cancel real id. Give back other license and we will turn it in after the trip. The ladies working there started laughing at us. The customer service was horrible. I checked tsa online and it states they do not take paper documents. We need my husband's license back stephen phelps.
