I purchased rear support shocks for my 2003 Explorer. After I installed them the rear hatch was very hard to close. I figured that the shocks were new and thus, hard to overcome. After a few days I went to close the hatch and it was extremely hard to close. The area where the hinges are was pulled out and the door wouldn't close properly. After some time passed I went back to the store and asked them to check the part number on the shocks. Well come to find out, the shocks were for an Expedition which you know is a much larger vehicle. The manager replaced the shocks with the correct ones. The problem is that the heavier shocks caused the hatch to be pushed up and bent the area where the hinges mount. Now my rear hatch won't close correctly so I have to slam the hatch which I'm afraid is going to eventually break the glass on the hatch. Also my door ajar light stays on all the time. What can we do about this. I'll try to send some pictures of the damage. I don't see a place for my contact information so...
