My spouse and I both underwent a routine screening procedure at UHealth's Lennar Foundation Medical Center which they'd advertised for a cash price. We paid the fully agreed price before the procedure and received a promise our insurance would not be billed. Two weeks afterward we both received bills with: Wrong price, wrong payment history, and a sizable outstanding balance. It took us hours on the phone with their billing department to resolve. What should have been the simplest matter turned into a giant hassle. Very dishonest and/or inept.
Imagine how screwed up their more complicated bills must be!
