United Vacations review: Goodwill manager mislead me about hiring for full time work under a different position

I went on an interview on 7/9/2026 for a Retail Merchandise Processor full time. I got hired by the manager Rachelle Currier at the Main & Lindsay store in Mesa, AZ and she even sent a acceptance letter to me to sign for full time work. She proceeded to ask me if I had cashier experience and I told that I did. She then proceeded to tell me that since I had that experience I would have to back up the cashier's, if I wanted to. She said that I would get emails after the interview from the company to submit my legal information into the Goodwill computer system for a background check from home and I did that when I returned home. She said that I would be getting computer training on Saturday 7/11/2026 at 10am with her and for me to come back to the facility and she would train me. I got several emails about the training. She also said for me to bring my government ID and SSN card to be scanned into the system. I came back to the facility with all my documents and was early arriving at 9:45am. One of the employees took me back to the warehouse where Rachelle was after I explained that I was there for training with Rachelle. Rachelle had no recognition of who I was. It was only two days past since she offered me the job. I gave her my name and she looked like she never had spoken to me. Rachelle had the audacity to tell me that she did not know who I was and then she told a lady standing there named Shanika Ray that "She is here for some days to work" and that I was a cashier. I told her that she had told me that I would be back up and if I did not want to be a cashier that would be fine and that I would be responsible for seasonal halloween items to put on the shelves. I told her that, that was not the agreement when she hired me and then she argued me down that, that was what she said. I told her that I did not apply to be a cashier and that I did not want to be hired as a cashier. She told me in so many words, too bad and that she did not have any job for me. I walked out disappointed and embarrassed that a person who claims to be management would give me such rude treatment in front of her peer and workers in the warehouse. This company does not have to worry about me applying with them ever again. She needs some training on how to treat and talk to people and be honest and not mislead people into thinking that they got hired, then say "I don't have a job for you". I hope no one ever experiences this like I did. I never had a job treat me this rudely. I thought I would get to help people find things that would make them happy. She blew it!
