We used Trans Canada Movers wen we moved from Boston to Ottawa, Canada, last week. Jake, the staff from Vancouver office was my point of contact. Jake was very understanding, communicated very well with prompt replies to emails, phone calls and voice messages. The crew who moved our stuff were excellent. They communicated very well, came to pick up stuff on time on 19th Feb, packed and moved everything very carefully and efficiently. They were on time for the customs clearance in Ottawa on 23rd Feb, after which they delivered our stuff to our home in Ottawa. Again they did an excellent job while unloading and unpacking and were respectful of the property. I should also mention out of the many other moving company quotes for price to move, I found this company to be reasonable. I want to say a big thank you to Jake and your crew at Trans Canada Movers for making our move smooth. I would highly recommend them to anybody looking for movers especially international move like ours.

I asked to move a small amount of furniture from Vancouver to Cranbrook, a small town in BC. Only 2 companies responded, and this one gave me a reasonable price and was willing to go to Cranbrook, unlike most van lines that ignored me. The other company said the minimum quote would be around 6000 lbs, which is close to 9 thousand dollars. So I chose this company and I'm glad I did. The packers and movers were great from the start, and Alain from dispatch was excellent at answering my many questions. It did take a bit longer than I expected because most companies wouldn't bother going to a small town for such a small load, but I'm happy with the condition of my stuff when it arrived. Thanks again for moving me. And thanks again to Alain for taking care of everything from picking up the furniture in Vancouver to delivering it. I will definitely recommend this company to friends and family. Keep up the good work. Thanks again.

I just moved from Brooklyn, ***, back home to ***. My move was pretty much smooth and perfect from start to finish. I gotta admit, when I first started looking for a mover, I was kinda swayed by a super low quote from a company supposedly based in ***. But then it became clear that it was probably a scam since they didn't mention anything about customs or clearances. My gut feeling was like, "Uh-oh!" So I searched for another moving company and found Trans Canada Movers and got connected with ***. Right from the start, *** explained all the steps (and paperwork) involved in a cross-border move. *** was super patient and answered my questions almost every day! I was in a weird situation where I couldn't be at customs to receive my stuff, but *** made it possible for my husband to handle things on my behalf. As for the actual move, the driver was really professional and the crew in Brooklyn worked super fast and efficient. My husband was equally impressed with the driver and the moving crew on the *** side. ...I still have nightmares about what would've happened if I went with the "cheap" option. I can totally imagine my stuff being held hostage in Buffalo... Scary stuff, you know? So, be careful when you're choosing a mover. But anyways, thanks a bunch for the amazing service!

Our move from *** to Canada was handled really good by Trans Canada Movers. We talked to a lot of companies at first, but Trans Canada Movers had a fair price and they were helpful. The move itself was great, the movers worked hard and made sure nothing got damaged. They also synced their inventory system with mine, which was nice. When our stuff arrived, there was only a little damage, mostly because we packed some fragile things ourselves. Everyone we dealt with at the company was good at their job and nice, especially ***. They answered all our questions and helped us a lot. Choosing Trans Canada Movers was a good decision and we're happy with how everything went.

We moved from *** to *** with TransCanada in Oct-Nov 2021. Overall, sadly, I'm disappointed in the service. The packers in *** were poorly supervised and there weren't enough of them. Lots of boxes weren't labeled at all, even with the room they came from. Two of the *** packers were good, two or three (depending on the day) weren't. It seemed like the driver tried to spend as little as possible on packers. Because he did little supervision and I couldn't watch everything, they packed food and other things that can't be shipped internationally. They also packed items from my wife's studio that they were clearly told not to pack, and that were marked as such. Once the packing was done, around 6 pm on Friday, the driver pressured me to drive up to the border crossing at *** that night, when I was tired. I did get the company to pay for a hotel room for me in ***. On the other end, in ***, the problem was the opposite. The same driver came to unload in ***. He came with a big team, 7 or 8 people, and tried to unload very fast- they had everything out and crammed in the house in 4 hours, which didn't give us enough time to properly direct things to the right place. There isn't much room in the house, which was part of the problem, but I think it would have been reasonable to take one day to unload. We got very little help reassembling anything. They were in such a rush that they left at least 20 items with pads still on them. I can't recommend TransCanada for a move from *** to Canada.

The company packed and delivered household items from *** to ***. Their service was excellent, lots of notice, efficient pick up and drop off, good communication and very pleasant interaction. I will use them for any future long distance and international shipments and will recommend them to other customers that need their kind of service.

This company "moved" us from Toronto to Calgary. By moved, I mean, they spent two days ripping my home apart, throwing my items around, damaging things, "losing" things, and then sticking me with a bill twice the quote and when confronted with over $15,000 worth of damages and "lost" items, offered a whopping $975 in compensation. I would have rather let my house burn to the ground than let this company move us again. Wish it was possible to leave minus stars.

My husband and I called several moving companies for quotes and information regarding our upcoming move from Florida to Canada. We were very concerned about getting a qualified and trustworthy company. When we spoke with Jake, the Sales Agent, we were very impressed with his skills and expertise informing us as to the cost of transporting our household and personal items and scheduling pickup. I had a great experience with Tammy and Alain from Trans Canada Movers. I used them during COVID to move from *** to *** on very short notice which they were great about, and again back from *** to *** after that move backfired. They offered me a generous set of options for that return trip. Both Tammy and Alain were friendly throughout, and open and honest about timelines and expectations. Communication was great - we exchanged a whopping 50 e-mails and a few phone calls over that timeframe. The local pickup/delivery was done by *** from ***, and I rather liked him too. My bed's headboard was accidentally left in their warehouse and didn't make the return trip, but Alain was proactive about reaching out to let me know and ensured it got on the next truck headed my way.

I recently had them move my ***'s belongings from BC to ***. Everything arrived in one piece and I appreciated the help with the customs paperwork. But the scheduling leaves a lot to be desired. The goods were picked up on August 3rd. After being told they would be picked up on the 5th - fortunately I work from home so could accommodate this change and it was all packed. Not everyone can be called on a statutory holiday about a pick up the next day and make it work. Then on August 17th I was contacted to say they would be delivered on August 21st. Short notice but my *** made arrangements with her work. Then on August 19th I was contacted to say they would be delivered on August 20th. Bit of a panic and I confirmed twice that was the case and was told second delivery of the day so morning for sure. *** August 19th - nothing. I called the office here - nothing, texted - nothing. Finally I called Toronto and spoke to dispatch. Her goods were NEVER scheduled to be delivered on the 20th but always the 21st. Very bad news as now she needed more time off. ***. I called Dispatch later on the 20th to confirm the 21st delivery (not my job to do this). They were delivered on the 21st. So end of story very upset about the delivery mess up and lack of communication.

Moved our 2 bedroom apartment from Vancouver to Toronto & our shipped our car. Overall I was very happy with Trans Canada Movers. I don't know if they are the cheapest movers out there - but I was more concerned for qualified movers & a trustworthy company - I didn't reach out to other companies for price comparison. They have a minimum price for 2K lbs and then charge you for each additional lbs over that. They require everything to be in boxes including things that might get dirty (white chair, carpet) - so during pickup - just ensure you have extra large wardrobe boxes on hand incase you need to box anything up last minute - or they will charge extra for these. It took roughly a month for our stuff to arrive & be delivered. The cardboard boxes showed ware & tare/small damage - just showing that they have been moved a few times since they loaded them from our apartment & stacked. Nothing in the boxes was damaged - i just suggest you make sure any fragile pieces are labeled correctly - and wrapped up in a box. One glass vase was broken - but probably our fault due to bad packing/vibrations probably cracked it. We only had one piece of furniture that was damaged - and it was the hinges on a door on a secretary desk that clearly was pressed up against by something else - the pressure on the door popped out the hinge...but otherwise, it was fine. Shipping the car was pretty seamless - it needs to be completely empty except for a set of spare tires. it arrived in about a month & there was no damage or scratches. I dealt with Tammy - she was great & responsive to my questions. You don't hear much from them unless you reach out and ask about schedules & when things will arrive. They give you 30 minute notice before they arrive & were on schedule. Overall i would use them again if I need to move.
