I purchased a paid membership through Tao of Trading, which includes exclusive screeners and indicators for class members. However, when I tried to use the tools provided, TradingView suddenly prohibited me from doing so.
Every time I attempted to use the “Countertrend Arrow” indicator, a red exclamation mark appeared with a “Runtime Error” message. I contacted TradingView’s Help Center, and instead of helping, they sent me a condescending, confusing response suggesting that I was trying to use “someone else’s script without permission,” essentially accusing me of misuse even though I had legitimate access through my paid membership.
I sent proof of my enrollment and the official instructor-provided link, but they continued to imply I was at fault. I even had to escalate the issue through the BBB to get them to eventually back off. Meanwhile, my instructor confirmed that no other students were having this problem, showing I was unfairly singled out and harassed.
This experience was awful — TradingView demonstrated poor support, lack of professionalism, and unnecessary targeting of a paying customer.
