Toptec has done 3 BIG jobs for me and I was happy with each one. I just had a backup sump pump installed and *** was polite, put on shoe covers each time he went in and out. He explained everything about why I needed a new sump pump and was prompt and thorough with the new installation.

We have used many diffrent HVAC busineses in our many years here. I have to say this company hasnt let us down. Even the girls who take the calls. They arent afraid of a difficult situation. They do the extra work and get the job done. Our builder *** left us with a mess. Toptec has made our home a better place with their professional service.

May 25th Our battery backup on our sump pump was blaring the alarm and wouldn't shut off. This was during a busy time when we got all the rain. Neighbors recommended Top Tec and we gave them a call. Very responsive and friendly over the phone. We explained our situation and they set up an appointment with their tech to come out and fix it. Mustafa and Ken came to our home, put booties over their shoes so as not to ruin our carpet, set up their tarps in our basement where they worked, and were very clean through the entire process. They worked very quickly and also took time to answer whatever questions we had. After installing the new sump pump and battery backup unit they showed us how it works and made sure we didn't have any questions. My wife asked Mustafa an unrelated queston on how to best maximize A/C output in our home. Mustafa gave us his advice and told us that if it didn't work that we could call and they woud send somebody out to analyze the situation. GREAT customer service, outstanding knowledge, and very competitive prices compared to other electrical/plumbing/HVAC vendors we had used in the past. We will definitely go back to Top Tec for all our needs. I recommend them to anybody who needs a reasonably priced high quality vendor.

Outstanding service company, I am very impressed by the level of professionalism that everyone at those company has demonstrated to me and my family. This company understands that we must change how we are living our lives in our homes and businesses. We must become an ecological sensitive community And take steps to remove and reduce carbon emissions. I have a massive solar roof of 34 panels and this is the only heating and cooling company that I am aware of that has state of the art heat pumps for HVAC and a brand new design of a hybrid water heater that works on the principal of a heat pump. By using these heating and cooling pieces of equipment in my home I will reduce my natural gas consumption and carbon emissions by at least 95%. The efficiency of these heating and cooling devices is so high and when coupled with the use of my solar system the savings in comparison to using natural gas which will probably double by next year is enormous. I believe the savings over a 15 year. Will actually pay for the cost of the equipment being installed. Considering that the government is adding in rebates/contributions, incentives It only gets better ! I am grateful that the owner of this company *** is an innovator and has the foresight to direct his company to be able to contribute to our community with these products and his company services.

TopTec is terrible! The techs who did our work unplugged our second fridge to charge their phones and run a vacuum to clean up. They forgot to plug it back in and we didn't notice for two days. We lost three bags of frozen food and groceries. I called to report it and the receptionist was really nice. She said someone would call me on Monday. They called and offered to send a tech to check the rattling pipes. We said no and asked about compensation for the groceries. She said the Director of *** was in a meeting and would call me back. But I never heard from them. It's been four months now and I called today to ask about it. They reminded me they offered to send a tech. When I asked about compensation, they said no because I didn't have photos and "five months had passed." They never asked for photos. My advice is to call another company. TopTec doesn't take responsibility!

Terrible experience as it relates to plumbing. I had a leak in my master bathroom that was over my laundry room. They charged me $295 just to come out and assess the issue, and they also cut through my ceiling drywall. At the end of this fiasco, I'm out almost $900, the leak still isn't resolved, and there's a huge hole in my ceiling. The company hasn't made any effort to fix the problem, so I'm taking legal action.

We was told the project would take 4 hours, but it only took 1 hour. They charged a flat rate and didn't consider the shorter time. We didn't need much materials (we gave them the sink and disposal). They said their plumber who gave us the quote was the most experienced and knew how long it would take. Paying $1300 for just 1 hour of work without materials feels like a scam.

I paid too much for really bad plumbing job. It happened on Aug 4, 2022 and they came back on Aug 22, 2022 because they didn't want a bad review on Yelp. They asked to come over and check the problems, but they haven't finished the job as promised. The VP, ***, told me that I paid too much for the work and they would fix and replace the issues. However, the owner doesn't want the VP to fix and replace anything. Now they want me to pay. I have a long and detailed email with all the information and pictures. I don't think the plumbers are licensed.

The previous owner of my house hired TopTec Heating to put in a new AC unit made by Lennox. The installation happened on July 2. But now, the AC isn't blowing cool air anymore. TopTec doesn't want to take any blame for it. They're saying I have to pay for a preventative maintenance agreement, which costs a lot, plus over $450 to find the leak, and over $500 for Freon. The Lennox product is still under warranty. I registered the warranty with the number *** on July 2. The AC unit's serial number is *** and the coil's serial number is ***. TopTec is an authorized installer for Lennox, so they should fix this problem for free.

I called Top Tec on June 30 cuz my air conditioner wasn't working. Adam, the tech, came and one of the first things he did was change the capacitor ($389). He told me that it's the most common reason why the AC don't work. Then, he checked the coolant level which was low. He didn't look for a source of the leak but just listed the areas that could be leaking. He said that a leak test takes 4 hours and so it's better to replace the coolant and see if there really is a leak. He charged me $120 per pound of 410A and put in 6 pounds of it ($720)- no receipt until I asked. 4 days later, I'm calling the company again cuz the AC ain't working. Adam don't show up after he says he will come. The company wants to charge more $ to look again. This is total price gouging and taking advantage of customers, without solving the root problem. FYI- coolant cost $30 per pound and capacitor (was this needed?) less than $100 per another company quote that I received today.

In August, TopTec installed a new *** hot water heater in our house. We paid a total of $2150 which included all the parts and labor ($550) cost. Last week, the hot water heater began to leak enough water that extinguished the flame. I called TopTec on Wednesday more to schedule a tech to come take a look. I left a message with my name and number and the person I spoke with assured me they would call me back and either schedule us for Wednesday or Thursday. I never heard back so I called again on Thursday morning and spoke with the receptionist. At first, she said they did not have time to come look and told me that people had called before me to schedule. I told her that I had called the day before and then she finally scheduled me for early afternoon. The tech came out (earlier than scheduled) around 12:30 and confirmed that the unit was leaking and would need to be replaced. He told me that the flame would not reignite due to the amount of water that was leaking. He took pictures of the model and serial numbers to send to the office so they could figure out warranty information and get back to me. I never heard back, so I called again the next morning and the receptionist had no clue about what the tech did/said. I waited for a call back, which happened in the early afternoon for a price to get it replace through the warranty with *** The tank was covered, but I was told the "labor" cost would be $1200 and I would need to pay in full before they could file warranty paperwork with *** I reluctantly paid. However, with 3 kids, we could not wait indefinitely for a new unit and removed the old and installed a new unit, which we purchase. My husband, *** has called the company every day this week to inform them that they could deliver the new unit from *** and take the old one, which needed to get sent back to *** and to refund the $1200 we paid in labor. We never signed a contract or received an itemized ***. No install.
