My Tiffany ring, a Platinum 2.81 CT Pink Tourmaline and Diamond Soleste Ring, which my husband purchased in Fall 2022, has required multiple repairs due to loose diamonds despite being worn very sparingly.
The ring has been repaired three times within a span of less than two years:
I. First repair completed on August 24, 202
II. Second repair completed on September 9, 2025
III. Most recently sent in for repair on February 5, 2026, due to another loose diamond
Over the past nine months, I have worn the ring only about 6-7 times, and just an hour or two at a time- and very careful wearing it. This minimal use was largely due to moving and packing/unpacking activities. Given these circumstances, I find it troubling that the diamonds have repeatedly become loose.
I have requested a thorough inspection and detailed assessment to identify any underlying cause contributing to this recurring issue by written letter to the main headquarters and the repair shop- and have been ignored.
This is also not the first time that they have not been forthright. When the ring was originally purchased- they delivered the 2.91 carats as advertised to the appraisal of 1.21 carats is 1.7 carats LESS weight difference for the purchased ring! I have the original letter and proof of that as well. So, at this point, I am disgusted with the way I have been treated both times. Very sad.. My daughter as well may be engaged soon and she wants a Tiffany ring, but I may dissuade her now.
