Thumbtack review: Billing practices, what they charge the "pros" for

I signed up just to try to get more leads for my business, thank god i only put a small amount on my account, they charge more than $30 per "lead" they give , they charged me for one lead that was a woman that only wanted to ask a few questions about her tree, she never intended to have any work done, the second was a woman that before I could even talk to her posted that they were no longer going to do the work, I never spoke to this person, never even had an address to give an estimate, I applied for a refund on both as neither one was a lead for an actual job, I never even had a chance to make money, which is what thumbtack claims to do, provide leads for more business to companies, Thumbtack replied that neither request met the requirements for a refund, There was never a job for me to get, they never even provided me with an address, how can that be a lead? these guys are just thieves and of course they provide no way to actually speak to a live person, its all robots. STAY AWAY FROM THUMBTACK. CUSTOMERS USE IT FOR THE WRONG REASONS AND THUMTACK WILL TAKE YOU FOR EVERY PENNY IT CAN GET!
