The Gentlemen Pros had one of their servicemen come out yesterday, with a wide variety of things needing adjusting or fixing. The serviceman did an excellent job. I walked him through everything I wanted him to check on, and then he began working. I hung around to learn what it was he was doing, as well as what I could do down the road to make things work better. He was very patient and did an excellent job explaining what was happening, what I shouldn't do, as well as what to do to make things run smoothly. I would highly recommend this company!

Richard was very thorough and knew what he was doing. He at least tried to see if the old pump could be fixed, but then had to get a new one. I discussed Water softener as I was having problems, he did both in one day, and was very good at fixing the piping, ensuring I had 2 bags of salt, my basement area was clean. He hung up the pipe, electrical cords. Etc. I liked he was up front with the pricing. You might find cheaper products but this is 5 year warranty on products and service so worth the little extra. Richard also gave me a bit of a discount because of Seniors. Great Job!

Laverne completed an excellent annual review of our plumbing and heating systems, providing information on all his procedures, and answering a myriad of questions that we had. (We also appreciate his advice on how to drain our water heater and remove debris from pipes under the bathroom basins.) While here he also supplied and installed a top quality new kitchen sink faucet and a set of two shut-off valves (1/4 turn), and cleaned our furnace--all jobs that needed doing. Besides being highly professional and competent, Laverne was extremely personable and polite. We appreciate his great service.

Again I have to say how awesome this company is. I have used them a few occassions now and every time they have come out nothing but the best service, if I could give them a 10/10 I would surely do that. I have had a few different plumbers and just respect all of them for their friendliness, knowledge, and willing to do whatever it takes to make sure you receive exceptional service. It's true what they say you only pay for the type of service you get, you want cheap you're going to get cheap, you want professional, stand by their work kinda guys, and a warranty like no one else I have ever had service with. We have been using this company for a few years now. We have just had a furnace replaced and and a new toilet put in. The Furnace was the big item and Adam V. and his helper did a great job. They also kept us informed of each step and a full explanation was given to both my wife and I. When my wife asked about some slight moisture around the base of our basement toilet Adam suggested it may be a bad seal. He did not pressure us into purchasing a new one; however, my wife and I thought that since he was all ready there why not replace it. He did have the model we wanted in the truck and thirty minutes later we had a new toilet. We would recommend this company.

The Gentlemen Pros are exactly what their name implies. When they come, their tradesmen are dressed in impeccable uniforms and take care to not damage your flooring by using mats and donning booties over their footwear. Everyone I've dealt with, especially John the electrician, has been amicable, knowledgeable, and taken the time necessary to explain the work required and what it involves. The company provides a detailed quote and in my experience if the total charged works out to be different it is only a lesser amount. I have utilized their plumbing and electrical services and have been so impressed that I will soon be contacting them for work on our HVAC system.

We called the Gentlemen Plumbers to come out and fix the low water pressure in the shower in the basement. Julio came out at the time scheduled and was able to find the problem of calcium build-up in the pipes and the fixture in the wall and descaled it as best as possible without replacing any pieces. Before he started he gave us a full price quote and there were no surprises when done. He then went on to check all the faucets, toilets and hot water tank and this was all free! He answered all our questions and explained in detail how to care for our new hot water tank. He did a great clean-up job before he left and you wouldn't have been able to tell we had work done. I had called Gentleman's plumber to come replace my hot water tank after it had leaked. While here Wayne wanted to charge me $6400 to bring my in flooring up to code. I had called another company who recommended I call the city of Calgary to see if that work needed to be done which it didn't. After calling them to inform them my quote drastically changed to $1400. This was a week after my hot water tank had been replaced and they had left me with NO HEAT! They wouldn't work with me to get this fixed. I called a different company and they came out the next day and did the same work for 1/3 of the second quote. Their “managers" will not listen to what you say and will keep repeating themselves.

Mike is an extremely thorough plumber, with 20 years of experience. He assessed our water leak from a cast iron pipe and decided how it should be repaired. Mike was at our house for most of the day, as it was a complicated job, and he was able to walk us through each step of his work. Along the way we learned lots about the Gentlemen Professionals and how they do business. After finishing the pipe replacement Mike did a Home Inspection which reviewed the condition of our water, sewer and electrical systems. This is a very useful service as it can alert you to problems you are not aware of. Mike was so helpful that we decided to become a member of The Gentlemen's Promise membership service club. For a monthly fee it gives you additional services and discounts. Excellent job Mike!

Outstanding five-star service! We just had our new furnace installed by an excellent representative of a great company (Gentlemen Pros) that we've been with for years. Our old furnace had been tagged and we needed a new one stat. Gentlemen Pros booked our appt. immediately and sent the best, most competent, efficient, meticulous, punctual, and friendly installer to do the job. Their furnace expert went above and beyond the call of duty, vacuuming debris around the furnace and repairing the hole caused by the smaller-sized thermostat. He also answered all of our questions, told us how to operate the new thermostat, and advised us of the 10 year warranty on all parts and labor. We could not ask for a more customer-oriented and knowledgeable installer, and were so happy to receive our club membership discount on the total cost of the job. Thank You!

I had a different company come out to resolve a plugged toilet. The matter plugging it was veggies. I should have just let them rot away, but I got a plumber to snake it. They did an awful job and surprised me with a bill for nearly $1000! The toilet has leaked ever since. Both I and my downstairs neighbor are extremely unhappy. Now I have to pay to fix his ceiling too!

So I called The Gentlemen Pros, the highest rated plumbers in town. What a difference! They are the opposite in every way. So professional and thorough. All costs were clearly explained at the start. They recommended a new toilet, which was done. The extra cost was very reasonable. I'm thrilled with the experience in every way.

They also offered more than once to come sooner than the original appointment, when they found they had a window on an earlier day, and on the same day, but I stayed with our original date and time. It was appreciated though. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Hot Water Tank was on it's last leg. Bought a replacement tank at a reputed store to have it installed. Following day a plumber show up at my place to survey the area, told me that the 40 gals tank wouldn't fit as it is 2" wider. Told me that he would check the availability for a 30 gals tank as it is slimmer. Got a call back later that they found one in Quebec. Mar 23 got a call from the reputed store to see if I had made the enclosure wider ( this is a mobile home) 36 X36. I told them I never got a call from the plumber and ther2 is no way that I can make the enclosure wider. I called back the plumber, got an answering msg, Left msg, never got a call back. Yesterday was my last day of vacation, started calling back and forth. Reached The Gentlemen Plumbers before lunch, told me that they would send a plumber at 1PM or so. Darren shows up and survey the area, concluded that the normal 40 gals wouldn't fit. A 40 gals slim tall would be the only one that would fit. Started to make phone calls, found one in Edmonton. I agree with the recommendations and agreed with the installation. Darren told me that it could be done today (great as I was going back to work the following day after my vacation). John (his supervisor) arrived an hour later with the tank. While waiting, Darren started to take the old tank apart while waiting. As I mentioned earlier, this is an older mobile home and the hot water tank removal/installation could only be done from the outside in the cold and it was snowing at the time. It was not a easy task, and they never complained. They had to replace the exhaust stack, replace pipes, etc. Not an easy task in an opening 22" X 30" area. It turned out to be an 8 hours job. If I could put 10 stars, I would. I very highly recommend The Gentlemen Plumbers.

The absolute WORST EXPERIENCE i've ever had with a service company EVER!Just to preface this horror story, We call in a service company because we either lack the skills in that area or lack the right equipment or tools, the entire point of paying for a service company is to provide expert help to people with zero knowledge or expertise in that field.. this was not the case.So it all started because I had a blockage in my main drainage line, I called this company to get serviced and have my issue resolved.. The tech showed up, after some conversation about where the main lines and drainage entry locations were in the house, he goes to get the power auger. he kept asking me where the backwater valve entry is, and I have no idea what he's talking about, so instead of finding it, he insists on using the power auger on another entry point higher up in the drainage line. fortunately, he was able to clear the blockage with the power auger, unfortunately while reeling the power auger back in, he ended up breaking the backflow valve flap because he went past the flap that only swings in one direction.. and let me just remind you, this is a service where you pay for an expert and expect them to know what they're doing..So now he's in a bad situation, he broke the flap on my backwater flow valve, and now he is desperate to find the entry to the backwater flow valve (which he should've just done in the first place). he ends up saying that he needs access to my brothers room in the basement, so i ended up having to basically remove all the furniture out of the room, lift the carpet up to get to the floor, the technician says the entry is probably under the laminate on the ground, so he literally takes a hammer and starts chipping away at the floor GUESSING at where the entry point for this box is..I started to feel like this is getting ridiculous, so I start to help looking, and eventually in the furnace room is a small box entry point in the ground that ends up being the backwater flow valve. so at this point.. its been a few hours, the tech cleared the blockage, but he broke the flap on my backwater valve, and he just hammered up and completely damaged my laminate flooring. the flow valve is old and dated probably installed or produced in the 70's, trying to find the replacement flap is impossible, after a few days of waiting and searching for a new flap and not getting a solution, all the time its taken and all the extra work I've had to put in to fix this problem had me quite furious, imagine paying an expert service $400+ to come in and do more damage than they ended up fixing..So I end up calling head office to explain the situation and how things are going to be corrected here.. initially they offered to change out the entire backflow valve unit which would've consisted of cutting up the concrete in my basement, cutting the old unit out and putting a new one in.. and guess what? head office actually had the audacity to say i would have to pay for that, seriously.. so the long and short of things, after about 3 weeks of back and forth, headaches, stress, and frustrations.. i demand a full refund on the service despite them still having broke my flap and hammered my flooring.. they granted the full refund. They did offer to get my flooring fixed for me, they only offered to fix the patch he hammered up instead of the entire floor which just made no sense at all because that patch will stick out like a sore thumb and be impossible to match unless the whole floor was redone.. but at this point i was just done dealing with this circus of a business.I ended up going to a local 3d printing business, got the flap that was broken reconstructed and replaced. the floor never got fixed. Looking back, I wish I would've fought a bit harder.. but it already took 3 weeks of nonsensical back and forth, and it just solidified the fact that I would never recommend or use this company again, ever. best part is after I got my refund, the head office had the gull to ask for a positive review on their website.
