Like many other reviewers, I got into this by reading a free bit on facebook; added the app to my phone; and got addicted to The Abandoned Wife. Thought it was a good company lol. Website has all the info you wished you had known, but good luck finding it. After I paid for coins a few times I realized it was a scam. Well I was loving the story and can afford to do something dumb. So I decided I would just pay, knowing it was a scam. After 2086 chapters (REALLY), most of them were around 5 pages the size of your iphone screen, I spent over $350. So .

A. It is a scam. But you can figure it out as soon as you download the app if you spend enough time digging and clicking things that don't look like they have any content.

B. The plots are good. BUT clearly written by non-English speakers and little editing. I actually enjoyed that..some of it was very funny and I would be laughing out loud. I am sure author was Asian, probably Chinese. It added to my enjoyment. If I tried writing in Chinese I would be worse. Or, maybe AI?

C. Since I finished I continue to "check in" daily. I won't spend another dime. I am currently using check in coins and reading coins and re-reading my book. I seem to get by ok by reading 30 to 45 minutes a day that way. I may try another book. But I will definitely check the number of chapters first. I also will plan to read at the rate that gets paid by my check ins and reading coins.

Finally...be very aware. You can do kindle unlimited for a reasonable price and read thousands for free. Don't do this unless you know your way around the website and be very careful.

Terrible customer service.

I requested support in retrieving my missed awards due to having an issue with my phone; I asked them to transfer/add 150 coins to my account and showed them the screen shots confirming I had been completing the daily tasks. They advised I repeat the tasks again which gets my the reward for the new day, but doesn't replace the missed one. I explained this and told them I was a loyal customer who had been purchasing coins

They simply told me to hit the blue claim button which wasn't highlighted any longer. I tried to contact them a second time and asked for a supervisor, however they closed my request saying they had already resolved it - they hadn't resolved it at all! When I explained this, I was redirected to both of my previous chats in which they wouldn't help me. Horrible service. As soon as I am done with this novel I will be deleting my acct and will spend my $ elsewhere. I already found another site that has given me a bundle of free coins as a welcome gift. They added more when I shared my experience Tapon! Take your money and run.

I downloaded the app and made a purchase. It also allows you to go check in on the internet to obtain 5 free coins. I made a purchase online thinking it was the same account. It wasn’t. I didn’t have excess to the coins in the app where I read the book. I asked them to move my coins and they did not initially. I chalked it up as a loss. My silly self purchased coins in the app to finish the book. Meanwhile the coins online expired. They then switched the online id to my app id which took my coins I’d just recently purchased under the app id. I lost money twice. Smh

I have subscribed to Tapon while being at home for a few days. After reading a few chapters I have paid £1.99 thinking that was all for the entire novell. At the chapter 18 they asked for £9.99 again. I said to myself, that this will take me to the end and I was wrong again. Is a online novell more expensive than a new movie ? This is rip off guys, don’t go there!

Should have monthly subscription and read all you want. Don’t like coins. Cost is too much TAPOL app

This app keeps making you pay to open chapters. After 20 USD I still wasn’t through the book. Rediculous!

This app is a rip-off! My advice: don’t allow yourself to get sucked in like I did. I’m out $30. And I haven’t even finished one novel!

I am so addicted to this novel! I just love Kathleen . Lot the family dynamics can wait for them to be totally together. Let Nicolette leave and go abroad. Enough of her scheming.

I’m sorry but no app should charge 40 bucks to read one book ridiculous! I will go back to Amazon. Let a person just buy a book to read not dang coins to keep opening chapters that cost out the butt!

if you want to read a book this is not the place fir you. Some books have thousands of 4 page chapters. Yet you get to the last chapter and have to wait another day to read the next one. So so frustrating!

I started reading a book at 11pm and was up until 3am… had to buy coins to continue reading only to realize the book had over 2000 chapters and I was only at 53. Really feel like I wasted my money and just ended up quitting.

The story is interesting, but you can’t finish the book! I got to a certain point and I have to wait every day for two new chapters. It says it’s ongoing! I want to finish the book before I start a new one! So annoying! It’s also very expensive.

It pisses me off how they say in their ad that all chapters are free when they are not! That is false advertisement at its finest! SMDH. Liars! It gets two stars because I won’t condemn the authors for a poor marketing strategy that is a lie!

I am more than happy to pay an appropriate amount of money to read a book on this app but the fees are unacceptable! It’s unfortunate because the author is very enticing and if they charges a fair amount they would make more money versus trying to scam people.

I will make it simple for you. I choice Never too far to read. First 16 chapters free. The book had a total of 326 chapter. I figure out how many coins I would need and it was over 5,000. It cost $49.99 for 3500 coins. No romance book is worth that much money. Deleting app now.

I’m really interested in the book I’m reading. It keeps you very eager to keep reading. Here’s the problem I have. I have spent $90.00. I know, stupid. After spending that much money and reading 1027 chapters, it just ends. There’s nothing left and the story isn’t over. WTH Please don’t get sucked into this scam.

I want to read these books in the worst way. The blurbs on Facebook are killing me and I’m certain they they know it.
However, I calculated the cost and no book, save for one that actually gives me magical powers, is worth what’s being asked to read the entire book, which is still in progress. This makes me sad, but I’m not going to fall into this trap.

I love the story I’m reading but it’s getting expensive trying to finish the book when there are over 400 chapters and you only get 16 free. I think they should make it where you can unlock after paying $10 to $15 for the whole thing because I can pay for a whole book for that or less! I have already put $20 into it but man make it cheaper would be nice.

The books are good but the app is a rip off. It doesn’t track the hours you read and it is very costly to keep buying coins to unlock chapters. I wouldn’t recommend this app it’s advertised as free reading but the more you read the more coins each chapter cost you unlock. It started out with 10 per chapter now I’m up to 30 coins to unlock 9 pages of reading.

Made a mistake of reading few chapters, paid $20 just so i cam finish the story. I only reached Chapter 110. There are 460 plus chapters and the novel is still ongoing. Wasted my time and money coz the plot was poorly written. Story line has so many unnecessary branching off which is totally not needed in the story. It was obviously written just to create more chapters.
Save your time, money and tremendous frustration. TOTALLY NOT WORRH IT!

These books are made to spend more than $100 for each book. It’s ridiculous

Why do you advertise a book that all chapters are free only to go and find out it’s a lie

Seriously love the book. Hate the app. Took expensive to read a book here. Kindle is much cheaper!
