THIS COMPANY REFUSEs to comply with any complaints or investigations including the BBB. They kept charging my card although every month I canceled the subscription. When I charged back the charges they TRIED to fine me $100

I finally have filed complaints with the BBB, my states Attorney General Office, the California Attorney General, and also the US Attorney General for wire fraud. My bank said they were unable to recover my money since the account the charges were paid to has been closed.

I am trying to have their VISA/Master Card authorizations revoked, but I fear the money has gone overseas, and will never be seen again.

BE SMART AND AVOID THESE FOOLS.
I had to cancel my card and block all future authroizations from their merchant account number

I agree with everybody saying it is a scam.

I've received a lot of messages saying they were interested in me, etc, and of girls (wich ones I am pretty sure are fake) asking me if I got any audition, because they were doing very well with that web site.

I am sure that was a strategy to stimulate me to pay for the gold membership.
One of the "models" said she won a cam as a prize of becoming a member.

I didn't trust this web site, but even so my fiance decided to pay -by money order- the 1 month membership... and guess what... the same thing that happend to the girl above... the offers sudenly desappeared, but when the monthly membership was almost ending, I was receiving the offers again...and guess who...yes...Kristina C.

She said she was very interested in me, and told me they were looking for people in the city I live - SUGARLAND, TX - how funny...

And when I asked about the informations of the audition, she just sent me a link, wich one was no information about the audition, just a page to apply to, and I had done it already... I asked her again, saing there was no information, and she said all the informations was in that link (meaning...there was no audition).

I feel very angry for the money my fiance lose with them, even if it was a small amout... he earned his money by working, not by scaming people as they do.

Thanks for reading

Amanda

Thankfully I never payed them any money, but i did sign up for a free account. I'm not that interested in shobiz really I was just unemployed tring to supplement my income. Seems as though lately I get a message every monday along with a virtual star. Then by thursday i get an invite for a casting. It tickled me before i recognized their pattern, so i put on my profile to get me on myspace where it is free...nothing on myspace but many invites through talenthunter. Is it a coincidence that every monday i get the same email only different proffessionals? I think not. they are trying to bait me so i will pay. This week it is MTV...uh huh sure. I would love to find a way to beat them at their own game.

Me 2 I think there is a way to block them off however you must get rid of your talent hunter account. But I still have my limited account there where I erased all my information except my name, so that I can warn future and current users of their bamboozling and their high fraud rating.

I had this type of scam happen with another company and this is what I did. About 3 minutes after I hit "enter" I went - oh crap, this place is a scam. So I called the credit card I used and cancelled it! Worked like a charm - they couldn't take a dime more from me. You tell your credit card company that you signed up with TH before investigating them and instantly realized they were a scam, you know they are a fraud, and you want your credit card cancelled immediately. T he credit card company will put a watch on that "cancelled" credit card in case someone tries to hit it again. The credit card company did send me a new card with a new number but I was so paranoid I never activated it until well over a year later. And thank heaven, that was the last I ever heard from the scam place.

I hope this helps some of you!

P.S. I stil haven't figured out how to get rid of those annoying TH emails!

The beginning was a load of emails of casting. To get details, membership was required.
Even though I paid 1 month of subscription, I continued to receive emails of persistent interest from "Industry Professionals" until my profile was more serious.
My Inbox & Sent Items are now off my profile entirely.

If you signed up with them, and gave them a credit card number, report the card to the credit card company as lost. You'll have to wait a few days for a new card with a new number, but TH will not be able to keep charging you. If you signed up with Paypal, and tried to cancel (get the link from cancellations@talenthunter.com), or if they charged you without your permission, file an "unauthorized use" complaint with Paypal:

https://www.paypal.com/us/ewf/f=sa_unauth

or file a purchase dispute:

This is THE biggest scam ever! I just recieved a message saying "Hi,

I came across your child’s profile and think he has a unique look and is a great match for a casting call now casting kids for a nationwide commercial.

I think your child would be a great match for this project and I need you to contact me ASAP so I can get you more information so he can be included in the casting process.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Jenny" ONE PROBLEM, I don't have a freaking son! I'm a teenager! How fake! Do NOT join.

I' ve had an account with TH for a while also. Fortunately I haven't given them any card info or bank account info. So I'm safe on that.
Can anybody provide good sites where one can get true casting notices? Melissa would you share the ones that you mention in your message?
God bless.

Really quick question. How can they still be operating if they are comitting CRIMES?
Can someone really answer this question or do we allow free crime on the internet?

Stay away from this site! If you used a charged card CANCEL YOUR CARD NOW! I can't believe I got involved in this either. Last year I signed up for the "good deal" and was charged and few months ago I saw a charge for $99.99 on my card. I am thinking I didn't authorized that amount to any one and I never received any renewal notice via email or anything. Come to find out it was "Talenthunter" ! Supposedly I agreed to pay 3 years under their terms and conditions unless I cancel my membership. And get this...there is no phone number to call, and they don't response to your emails at all and once the charge went through they don't refund ANY money back to you and you are SCREWED! I hope they get what's coming to them. !

Hey guys,
I signed up with TH 3 days ago too for the same reasons as many others. I usually go straight to the website but for some reason I went through the Google and found this site. I could not believe the things I was reading and I must say that I panicked thinking that I would keep getting charged. If anybody still has their profile (Gold) and wants to cancel it, here are the steps:
At the very bottom of the page there is a TERMS OF USE tab click on there and scroll down to read instructions about cancellation. It will give you this email address (cancellations@talenthunter.com). Write them an email and then they will send you an email immediately. Follow the instructions. and you will be free from this evil monster. I was not going to be fooled by this website. I will NEVER pay any more money for anything else.

If you wanna get these ### back just call their number [protected] and press 1 to go to customer service. 1888 number internet services charge per minute so just leave a 10 minute voicemail by leaving your phone by the radio, cursing, singing etc. By sure to make some noise otherwise it will automatically cut off, thats why the radio is good. Then after 10 minutes just follow the instructions to deliver the message, I think you have to press #. Actually, the more times you can do this the better, why not all day... Thats why they say "do not leave a voicemail". Good luck!

All of you people are absolutely right and are very smart! TALENT HUNTER IS A COMPLETE BOGUS WEBSITE LETS SPREAD THE WORD AND MAKE THEM PAY FOR ALL THEIR SCAMMING~!

Here's my story: So I am an actor/model but i have had a year subscription that I didnt even notice I payed for and I soon realized I didn't. When you enter your credit card number DONT! They steal your credit money and bill you every month until the thing stops which could take a year. I waited all year for a movie audition or commercial but this fake site which needs to be shutdown sent me 2 emails for auditions out of nowhere. Its scary I subscribed for 3 more days not knowing and got nothing as soon as it ran out I get another email telling me that some scout[censored] wants me to do a $1500 commercial this Friday. So I got fed up and googled TALENT HUNTER AND SAW THIS! Now Im heated and they will suffer reprocustions but we need more evidence and more cooperators to end this fraud...:-( ARE YOU IN PEOPLE WE ARE THE FUTURE?!

if it costs money then it is a scam. people have stars in their eyes and you are not smart enouhg to understand that companies like this feed on weak peoples ego's. get a clue and understand if you want to be an extra you need to take a photo with a resume to a real casting company in the los angeles area and register for about $25.00

I seriously want to destroy these people. I want to erase every single one of their filthy little hard drives and make sure they all go to jail so they can meet all of their comrades.

They just think they can get away with it!

Somebody needs to put an end to this sham!

They won't let you remove your photos once you post them so it feels even worse. Kind of like how you can delete a photo but it stays on facebook for months. Makes you want to hack into their computers and just start wiping out all of their data just to destroy such a filthy little website.

There's gotta be something everyone can do who's been scammed by this company to destroy it. Can't everyone form a class action lawsuit or something?

I'll stay in touch. I want these people to burn.

You can try submitting a negative review on the website but I'm pretty sure they screen all of the reviews before posting them so it'll never show up.

I also got scammed by Talent Hunter. I cancelled my membership and they were still charginging my credit card. I later realized that what they are doing is opening up 2 accounts so when you cancel one, you dont know that there is an additional one open. Therefore, they are placing charges on the account that you dont know is open. Then they will act as if you made the mistake of opening 2 accounts. And I am still trying to get refunded the charges made on that 2nd account and they are acting as if they cant see where they charged me on the dates which they did. I sent them a copy of my bank statement and the email I recieved from Pay Pal confirming their draft on my account. I am asking them once more to refund me and if I dont get any results, it will result in a lawsuit.

This company is the biggest lie they are professionals in FRAUD!, please dont let them laugh at us good and hard working people. They need to be stop!, i tell you what happened to me on January this year 1/12/2009. I subscribed to TH to receive information about different agencies on what they offer, for my cousin as a gift for her, because she is intrested in modeling, i choose to pay $12. monthly instead of ayear subscription, but they charge me $149.99 amount that I didn't authorized. I try to cancel, no luck, I try to called them, no answer I send emails, a ghost email respond, oh you need to fill out an cancelation application. I call my bank told them what happend they find out the company is a fraud and return my money i was happy they didn't got my money, But surprisely now in April i see in my bank account a deduction of $149.99, the bank paid themaffecting my account on other transactions my bank charge me 6 times $35.00 on different pending transactions i called and complaint with the bank and they said that that THIS DELINQUENT COMPANY GAVE THEM VALID DOCUMENTAION FOR THIS TRANSACTION TODAY 4/28/09 MY ACCOUNT IS --$171. is very unfair that the bank paid them and am the one AFFECTED BECAUSE OF THIS SCAMM COMPANY, I will fight to get my money back from the bank dont let this happen to anyone else. Well I fell for it. Bought the 12 month subscription and all the offers (same as the above! So funny) evaporated magically. I'm a professional but I needed an 'in' to the Los Angeles market because the casting agency I had been working through had closed their doors there. I really should have called their other offices for a referal. Thankfully I needed the tax write-off.
I have gotten some good information as far as casting agency addresses and I Google them for submission instructions (the way Talent Hunter has you submit your headshot / resume is a guarantee round file deposit before being opened). I have yet to land any work through TH but I have made phone contact with several producers and am going to be submitting my info to more in the future. I will NOT renew and I'm really mad about the bait and switch tactic. Those agents who saw our 'free' profiles and wanted us for their commercials were complete fakes. I do feel stupid about it.
Most of my current work has been through Craigslist but again, beware. If they ask for money to audition, they're in the business of auditioning, not casting projects. I should have known * I should have known * I DID KNOW but I ignored my inner screamer * I should have known!
I'm happy to say that the free networking sites I've joined have gotten me work in a film, TV commercials, and as a staff writer for a TV show...so I guess I chalk this one up to experience and I'm so glad I found these sites...just wish I'd done my homework before paying.
