We ordered our awning and side weather panels on 23 April through a local distributor. They estimated delivery within 4 weeks. The awning was finally installed on 3 July only after numerous repeated calls to the distributor who attributed the delay to Sunsetter's shipper who sat on the delivery for weeks. Although the awning was delivered and installed, the side panels have yet to be delivered. Repeated calls to the distributor have gone unanswered. Finally emailed Sunsetter customer service. Waited 3 days for a reply - told that the panels were previously on backorder but were now back in stock and that I would hear from the distributor directly. Two weeks later the distributor called stating that the panels would be delivered within a week or two. Two weeks later, no panels - called Customer service. Agent stated that the panels were on backorder. Told the agent that a recent email from sunsetter stated that the backorder had been resolved. Between the distributor and sunsetter, their failure to provide an honest product shipping status does not reflect well on this company. Constant finger pointing between the company, shipper and distributor. Three months later, still no panels, summer is almost over. Poor customer service seems to be a recurring problem. For Sunsetter, provide an honest answer as to when the panels will be delivered.
Desired outcome: Deliver the panels or provide an estimate as to when they will be available or be prepared for return of the awning.
