Was sold Sunrun Solar back in Dec 2021, and signed on sometime in February/March of 2022. Around June of 2022 reroof was completed paving the way for solar install. But solar install was pushed back every month and passed around different reps (My assigned rep would not get in contact with me until March 2023). In December of 2022, with all the rain, my ceiling started showing moisture in an area worked on below a flashing. I contacted the roofer on December 31st and they sent someone over to check out the leak. I was told at that time that it was the windows above the flashing that was causing a leak and for me to have it checked out once weather permits. Finally in May 2023 I was able yo get the leak checked, I was told by contractor that the cause was the shoddy flashing installed. Video proof of water flowing where flashing was installed. I sent over to the roofers, contact acknowledged and said they’re busy but will get back to me. Didn’t hear from them for two weeks, I decided to get the flashings fixed to be sure no mold growth etc. I paid 4k to get flashing reinstalled and moisture in exterior repaired. I let Sunrun know the cost to fix the damaged caused by the leak and was asked to send them the invoice. Which I did. Being told that Sunrun will not cover the cost to repair the leak damage because I did not let their preferred roofer fix it. Contacted roofer twice about the leak, first they denied it was the roof and second I didn’t hear from them until after two weeks when the leak damage had already been repaired.

Desired outcome: Reimbursement
