Summit Vacations is the worst when it comes to customer service. I strongly advise against using their services. We were planning to attend a wedding in Colorado and had to make a big deposit to book our rental. Unfortunately, because of the pandemic, the Colorado governor prohibited large gatherings. Additionally, we couldn't fly because my 3-year-old has a pre-existing condition. The representatives from Summit assured me that I would get a refund. However, the selfish owner changed his mind and refused to honor his promise. I suggest looking for alternative properties managed by ethical companies that truly deserve your business.

Summit Vacations is a company that doesn't care about the people renting their properties. Our stay was filled with disgusting experiences followed by disappointments. It was the worst Airbnb stay we've ever had. Our first impression of the place we stayed was a really strong smell of what seemed to be moldy fish in the kitchen that even reached outside the unit. While looking for the source, we found mold under the sink and called Summit Vacations to let them know. They said maintenance would call us, but they never did. We called again the next day, same thing. No call back. Finally, Denise called us on the third day and said she would personally come see it within an hour and a half. The whole day passed, and we didn't hear anything. If that's not enough, when we arrived, we found trash on the floors, including used tissues. The bathrooms clearly weren't cleaned as there were leftover soap chips from previous stays. Walking barefoot was risky because there were nails sticking up in the carpet where it meets the tile, and we stepped on them multiple times. On top of that, the propane tank was empty, so we couldn't use the food we bought to BBQ. We also couldn't enjoy the hot tub because the access code they gave us was wrong. Nothing was fixed during our stay. We also had the strangest experience ever in an Airbnb. When we were putting away groceries in the cabinets, we opened one and found an enema. Crazy! They won't even try to help us after our stay, and Jeff, the owner of Summit Vacations, won't return our calls, even though Denise keeps saying he will. One of the people staying with us owns a business and was shocked by the terrible customer service we received.

I own a property and hired Summit Vacations to take care of my rental place. I gave them money to change the locks, but it hasn't happened even after 18 months. Now, I'm selling the property and they misplaced two parking passes and the key to the unit. They won't even answer my calls and emails to fix the problem.

Summit Vacations cancelled my reservation for March in Breckenridge and wouldn't give me back my $2100 bucks. I got an email from them saying I'd get credit for later, no time limit. But now they won't give me my money back or any credit. They don't care that they lied and took my money!

Our original reservation was for July 8th-July 15th. We canceled on May 7th to keep 50% of our loss since at the time, Summit Vacations had only said reservations with a check-in date of June 30th or earlier were eligible for a full refund and our check-in date was July 8th. On June 1st, Summit Vacations extended their extenuating circumstances policy saying reservations with a check-in date before July 15th were eligible for a full refund. At this time, we reached out to the host again. This time, they denied our refund request saying our date falls outside of Summit Vacations' extenuating circumstances period. Next, we reached out to Summit Vacations directly and they just got back to us recently (6/18) saying that because we canceled our reservation, we were not eligible for a refund. However, the refund policy on their website says that reservations with check-in dates in the eligibility time period may be canceled before check-in. Since then, Summit Vacations has extended their policy to include any check-in dates before July 31st. There was no way we could have known when we canceled on May 7th that Summit Vacations would extend their extenuating circumstances policy, so the choice for us became either to get 50% back or risk not getting anything back at all. We thought we were doing the right thing because it also gave the host an opportunity to fill the vacancy for people who are comfortable with traveling at this time. In addition, I spoke to a representative who said we should have waited to see whether or not Summit Vacations extended their extenuating circumstances policy before canceling – we had no way of knowing Summit Vacations would extend and during these economically difficult times, we made the decision to keep at least 50% rather than risk losing all of our money. This was all before Summit Vacations adjusted their policy to say, 'you are not eligible if you have already canceled'. I have screenshots of their policy prior to that update at the time I made my inquiry with the host and Summit Vacations.
