I saw on my credit report that Summit AR had a collection opened on 12/14 for $547.00. The account number starts with 3000SYXXXXXXXXXXX, but I don't remember it and I'm not responsible for it. I never signed an agreement or completed a contract with them. This is wrong and violates my rights. This collection doesn't belong to me. If you think it's mine, prove it's valid. I want all collection activity to stop right away and for this incorrect and fraudulent collection to be taken off my credit report. If not, I'll take legal action and report you to the *** and FTC.

Today, April 6, 2022, I got messages from TransUnion and Equifax saying that a collection account was put on my credit report by SUMMITACTRES. After a quick *** search, I found out that this company is a collection agency trying to get money from me. SUMMITACTRES ("Summit A-R") sneakily put this debt on my credit profile to try and collect money that I don't owe. As a consumer, I'm protected by the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Summit A-R putting this collection on my credit report is a mean, tricky, and unfair way of collecting debts. SUMMITACTRES' actions have unfairly messed up my credit report and are trying to take advantage of my good credit. This is exactly what the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act was made to stop.

This complaint is about Summit AR and their negative credit action against me. They submitted a report to Equifax in December . The issue arises from a car rental I had with Sixt Rental Car in Orlando, Florida last year (1/2-1/8). After returning the car, I received a final bill and was checked out by the agent who confirmed no additional charges were due. I paid all the charges (final bill attached). However, later on, Sixt sent me an email bill for damages that I didn't cause and shouldn't have to pay for. I informed them about this. Now, I see that my credit history has been negatively affected by this false claim for more money. I don't owe anything to Sixt Rental Car. I've noticed that many consumers worldwide and the ComplaintsBoard.com (Sixt has an "F" score in Florida) have reported similar incidents of after-the-fact damage claims by Sixt. It seems like they have a reputation for such practices and being dishonest with customers. Summit has caused damage to me, and it's an ongoing issue. I plan to take necessary action to seek a proper resolution.
