I am filing a complaint against StubHub regarding transaction #[protected]. I sold tickets via StubHub for around $538. The buyer alleged they could not use the tickets because they were already scanned. StubHub indicated they would charge me $3500 because the buyer alleged they could not use the tickets. StubHub does not require any proof from the buyer regarding the purchase. StubHub told me they take the buyer's word. StubHub has requested several documents from me and indicated if I could produce the documents I would not incur any charges. I have produced all the documents that StubHub has requested, and they still insist on charging me $3500.

I provided proof of the following via email to StubHub: I bought the tickets directly from the Orange Bowl and I provided an invoice. I provided emails documenting the email of tickets I sent to the buyer. I sent screenshots of the tickets indicating the buyer had claimed the tickets. I provided an email from my ticket executive saying the tickets were scanned. The tickets can only be sold once. Once the tickets are emailed and claimed they can’t be sold again. No screenshots can be taken either because the software won't allow it. I am not sure why the buyer did not get into the venue if that is even true. However, I did everything I was supposed to before and after the sale. I provided StubHub with my ticket executive’s email and telephone number so StubHub could contact them if they needed any additional information. However, StubHub has failed to reach out.

I asked StubHub for any documentation regarding the complaint from the buyer and they have not provided any information. I have reached out to the buyer directly via email to try and resolve the issue or get additional information but have not heard back.

I have been a customer of StubHub for over 15 years and have never had an issue like this. It is ridiculous that StubHub would just take a buyer’s word with no documentation and then charge the seller an astronomical fee even though I have provided all documentation. StubHub needs to change its policy or they are going to lose a lot of customers selling tickets on the platform because the sellers have no status.

All supporting documents have also been attached.
