Spire Energy (formerly Alagasco) - reconnecting service

On 1/7/2020 I missed my payment, the next morning I paid my past due. While I was out picking up the kids I come back the gas is off, after talking to customer service they said because it was not paid by 430 the previous day I had to pay the full balance, reconnect fee, and additional deposit. I wasn't able to do that at the time so the next day which is today, I paid it all and asked since it's cold and I have small children in the house with no heat or hot water could they turn it back on today. After I was told no, I asked could this be considered a emergency because of that and was told no that would not be considered an emergency. Now if I had a leak or outage they would come out the same day. My bill is paid in full now and we have to go another day without hot water or heat. That is ridiculous. Missed payment on the 7th and I'm cut off in less than 24hrs, but paid and I have to wait. Thank you, Marlon Simmons

I am moving from one location to another. The second location where I am moving is also serviced by Spire. Here is what I need. I need to be disconnected here on Sept 30, 2021. I need to be connected at the new home on Sept 16, 2021 as a matter of the real estate contract. But because Spire only does turn ons or disconnects on Mondays or Wednesdays, I have just been told that I need to have the gas switched over to my name on Sept 15, 2021 to accommodate their schedule of Mon and Wed. This is illegal, I cannot just randomly go and have the sellers names taken off the bill on the 15th to accommodate Spire. I cannot keep this service on here until Monday Oct 4 when I will not be living here any longer. Spire is asking me to breech a contract, a real estate contract that is legally binding. Then they offered to turn on my gas on the 20th of September. HI! I just told you I have a contract that is specific, I need to turn it on on the 16th. A Thursday. One week from today so you are going to have to get up out of that chair that you are sitting in and get someone who can override this stupid rule and if you people cannot service the areas properly you need to stop being so riddled with corporate greed and give up this area to someone who CAN service the area! I best get a call tomorrow like I was promised that someone there has taken care of or will take care of this issue and I will get services turned on where I need them and when I need them and do not ask me to break the law in the meantime. And I best be able to have this service turned off when I need it off not when it's within your schedule that you can make your way to do it. I have never been late with a single bill, ever. I have never paid a bill late in my entire life. You are ridiculous, I spent 10 minutes max with every other utility company getting this done but I was on the phone with you people for 50 minutes, I was hung up on once already and had to go back through your ridiculous prompter to get to a supervisor who said she doesn't know how to override the system to accommodate this. If you don't know how to do that why are you a supervisor?
