Speechpad Speechpad Review: The Real Deal for Transcription Gigs

I gotta tell ya, Speechpad is the real deal. I'm from Africa and English ain't my first language, but I've been able to make some serious cash with this transcription gig. I ain't no expert in English, but I can understand and speak it pretty well, even if I don't sound like a native.

I started working with Speechpad back in June 2017, and let me tell you, it was a struggle at first. I had to teach myself how to transcribe, and I failed their test like 10 times before I finally passed with a 92. But once I got in, the support was top-notch. Sure, my rating dropped a couple times, but I just explained why and they were cool about it. Now I make sure my rating never drops below a 94.

What I really appreciate about Speechpad is that they give you all the info you need to improve your transcriptions. They really care about their workers and want us to do our best. And unlike some other sites, they don't dock your pay for low-quality work. If you do a good job, you get paid what you deserve.

Honestly, Speechpad is the best company I've worked for. The only thing I've learned is that you gotta be honest with yourself about what you can handle. If you take on a job you know you can't do well, you're just wasting your time. But if you stick to what you know, you can make some serious bank.

So yeah, if you're looking for a transcription gig, Speechpad is the way to go. Trust me, I've been doing this for a while now and I know what's up.

Speechpad Speechpad Review: Not Worth the Hassle for Transcribers

So, I gotta say, SPEECHPAD is not exactly what I thought it was gonna be. I signed up to be a transcriber and thought I was gonna make some quick cash, but boy was I wrong. I clicked on this one job to caption a conversation between Mark Zuckerberg and some other person, and let me tell you, they were talking so fast I could barely keep up. I mean, they were spitting out over 300 words a minute! I thought I was up for the challenge, but it ended up taking me three and a half hours just to type and edit a four and a half minute audio clip.

But here's the real kicker - after all that work, I got a message saying I missed the qualifying score by 7 points. What?! I didn't even know there was a qualifying score! And apparently, I had to retake the test with a different conversation between the same people. So, I fell for it again and spent another four hours on this new clip, only to get the same message that I missed it by 7 points.

I mean, come on, how is that even possible? I even used different editing apps and everything. And to top it all off, they told me I couldn't retake the test for another 90 days. Talk about a waste of time. I spent 8 hours on this yesterday and didn't even get paid for my work.

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend SPEECHPAD to anyone. It's just not worth the hassle. They don't make it clear that there's a qualifying score, and they don't give you any feedback on what you did wrong. It's like they're just trying to scam you out of your time and energy. So, save yourself the trouble and look for something else.

Speechpad Speechpad's Rating System is Unfair and Unstable for Transcribers

I gotta say, I'm not a fan of Speechpad's rating system. It's like they only want the best of the best, and if you don't have a 94 or higher, you're outta luck. And don't even get me started on the reviewers - they're a bunch of cheats, I tell ya. They'll give you a low rating even if you didn't make any mistakes. I've had transcripts where the mistakes they pointed out were the exact same ones they corrected, and I still got punished for it. It's not fair, man.

The only good thing about Speechpad is that they do pay you for your work. But don't expect to be working for them for very long. Once they give you a low rating, you're pretty much screwed. I'm stuck at a 93, and all the jobs available are 94 and above. So I haven't been able to work for them in weeks. It's frustrating, to say the least.

I really think they need to change their rating system. It's not fair to good transcribers like me who are being unfairly reviewed. I mean, I passed all their tests and did great on all my jobs except for one. And that one job was a nightmare - the audio was terrible, the speakers mumbled, and there were distracting background noises. Plus, they gave me so little time to complete it. I did the best I could, but it still cost me my rating.

I wish there was a way for transcribers to improve their rating. Even if you pass all their tests, you still might not have any jobs available. It's just not a stable place to work if you're looking for transcription work.

Speechpad Speechpad Review: Confusing Rating System and Poor Worker Profile Design

I recently tried out Speechpad and let me tell you, it was quite the experience. At first, I was excited to start working on actual files after getting a 100% on their automated test software, despite making a few punctuation mistakes. But boy, was I in for a surprise. The rating system was confusing and I received nonsensical feedback on the three files I worked on, causing my rating to drop drastically.

As someone with a business management degree and former internal auditor intern, I decided to investigate their internal systems. What I found was that reviewers are essentially transcribers who have reached a certain amount of transcription minutes and a 98% accuracy rating. Once they pass the accuracy test, they are given the power to determine the fate of someone's work without any additional training. It's like selecting the highest performing student in the class to do the teacher's job.

To make matters worse, the worker's profile was poorly designed and didn't allow for any relevant information to be added, such as a profile picture or address. It was frustrating to say the least.

However, I will say that the one good thing about Speechpad is that they do pay you for the work you've done. But my advice to anyone looking for online jobs is to not rely on companies like this for a steady income. It's best to treat it as a part-time gig and not put all your eggs in one basket.

Overall, my experience with Speechpad was underwhelming and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable source of income.

Speechpad Reliable and Responsive: My Experience with Speechpad Transcription Service

I've been using Speechpad for a few years now and I gotta say, it's been a pretty good experience. I mean, sure, there have been a few hiccups here and there, but overall, I'm happy with the service.

One thing I appreciate is that whenever I've had an issue with deadlines or technical glitches, the Speechpad team has always been quick to respond and help me out. And let me tell you, I've had some pretty weird problems with files before. Like, one time, I swear I uploaded a file and then it disappeared into the ether. But the Speechpad folks were able to track it down and get it transcribed for me.

Another thing I like is that I've never had any trouble getting paid. I mean, there was this one time when I think someone else accidentally submitted the same file as me, but even then, the Speechpad team was super understanding and made sure I got my money.

Now, I've seen some negative reviews of Speechpad online, and honestly, I think some of those people are just being haters. Like, yeah, Speechpad expects you to be accurate and consistent in your transcriptions, but that's kind of the whole point, right? And if you follow the Style Guide and do good work, you'll have a good relationship with Speechpad.

My advice to anyone using Speechpad is to communicate with the team if you have any issues. They're really responsive and helpful, and I think a lot of the problems people have had could have been avoided if they just reached out for help. So yeah, overall, I'm happy with Speechpad and would recommend it to others.

Speechpad Speechpad Review: Great Opportunity for Extra Cash, but Room for Improvement

When I first heard about Speechpad, I was like, "Hey, this could be a sweet gig to make some extra cash and maybe even learn some new skills for future job opportunities." And let me tell you, I still think that's true. But there's also some room for improvement that could make it easier for more people to get involved.

So, I didn't have any experience transcribing videos before I started with Speechpad. But I was pretty confident that I could pick it up pretty quick once I got the hang of the guidelines. And I did! I passed the first few qualification tests - basic, confidentiality, and grammar - and was pretty stoked to find out that I was already qualified to start working on some of the easier jobs.

But then I had to wait several days to get my rating and corrections back from my first job. So, I tried a shorter one while I was waiting. And when I finally got my scores for both of them, I realized that I had some room for improvement. I looked through the corrections to see what kinds of mistakes I was making, which ones were the most common, which parts of the style guide I needed to pay more attention to, and how I could get better faster.

But here's the thing. My first two jobs had lowered my overall rating to an 89. And now, I can't find any job offers or qualification tests that will give me a chance to improve. Every job I've checked requires a rating of 92 or higher. So, it's pretty tough to get started if you can't score high enough on your first few transcriptions.

That's why I think it would be a good idea for Speechpad to offer more practice tests. That way, people could get familiar with the style guides and all that jazz before they start taking jobs. And if they don't do so hot on their first few attempts, they could still have a chance to improve their rating and get more opportunities to work.

Overall, I still think Speechpad is a pretty cool platform. But it could be even better if they made it easier for people to get started and improve their skills.

Speechpad Speechpad Review: Affordable and Accurate Transcription Service for Improved SEO

Speech Pad is a lifesaver for anyone who, like me, has put in a lot of effort to create high-quality videos for their website, only to find that their traffic hasn't increased. The reason for this is simple: search engines rely on text to bring up your site and videos. Without text, your videos are essentially invisible to the public. This is where Speechpad comes in.

I've used Speechpad several times, and I can't stress enough how much time it has saved me. With rates as low as $1 per minute of file length, this voice transcription service is definitely affordable. Speechpad works with professional transcribers, both human and automated, to provide accurate transcripts of your videos so that Google and other search engines can find you.

What I love about Speechpad is that it's a text-to-speech service that provides accurate content in a timely manner. The rates are set based on the time you specify, so if you're in a hurry to get a piece of text up and running, the price may be a little higher. But for people like me, who are willing to wait an extra day or two to save a couple of bucks, Speechpad is the perfect solution.

I've read other Speechpad reviews and SpeechInk reviews, and I have to say that I'm thoroughly impressed with what I've gotten back from Speechpad each time. I don't think I'll be making a change now that I have a smooth running system in place. Regardless of the price, you simply cannot beat Speechpad's reliable transcription service.

Overall, I highly recommend Speechpad to anyone who wants to improve their website's SEO and increase their traffic. With Speechpad, you can rest assured that your videos will be seen by the public and that your hard work will pay off.

Speechpad Speechpad: A Game-Changer for Working from Home with Health Issues

Speechpad is a game-changer for me. I've been able to work from home, at my own pace, and on my own schedule. Whether it's day or night, long or short, transcription or review, I get to choose what I want to work on and for how long. As someone with serious health issues that prevent me from working, Speechpad has given me the opportunity to earn an income when I am able, without any recriminations if I have to take a few days off or if I have to ask for a time extension because I have to go a little slower.

Now, don't get me wrong, there are jobs that get rejected, but that's just part of the job. Nobody's perfect, no matter how long they've been transcribing. However, I always get a chance to rework a job, and usually, it's something simple. If the problem is something the reviewer can pick up, I lose a few points for that job, but I've never found the corrections to be unnecessary. Usually, it's because I wasn't paying attention to speaker tokens or guideline rules (particularly the "clean verbatim"). My bad!

One thing to keep in mind is that you're not going to make the same amount of money you would if you had an hourly job. This type of work is based on quality and quantity. You have a certain amount of time to complete a job, and a posted amount paid on approval. This is the sacrifice we make working at home. However, I have awesome skills (I've been working for 38 years, so I've earned bragging rights!) -- but they are worth NOTHING if I can't work. Speechpad has given me that work and a chance for income where I had none.

The staff at Speechpad are awesome. I usually have an answer within 45 to 60 minutes. They are helpful, professional, and always friendly and there to offer help. No matter if my question is important or if I just want to whine about a particularly difficult job (admit it, we all whine occasionally!), they always answer and treat me with respect. I've worked with several online transcription opportunities, but Speechpad has proven to be the most professional by far.

Speechpad Speechpad Review: Fair Pay, Simple & Straightforward, Highly Recommended!

I gotta say, I did a lot of research before I found Speechpad. I mean, my fiance actually found it for me (shoutout to her!), but still, I was looking for a way to work from home and make some cash. I've been transcribing for years, working with all sorts of clients from doctors to college professors. But let me tell you, most of the other sites out there are just not worth it. They either have crazy high standards that are impossible to meet, or they pay you next to nothing for your hard work. I mean, who wants to work for 7 cents an audio hour? That's just ridiculous.

But Speechpad is different. It's simple and straightforward. You know exactly what you're getting into before you even start. And if you're not feeling up to the task, you can just return it with no penalty. Plus, the pay is fair and often even better than fair. I've seen jobs that pay up to $0.75 per audio minute! And the payment is always on time, sometimes even early.

Now, I know some people have complained about the reviewers on this site, but let me tell you, they're just like you and me. They worked hard to get their rating up and they've had their fair share of hiccups along the way. But the Speechpad team is always there to help out and address any issues you might have. And if you turn in subpar work, well, you can't expect to get paid top dollar for it. That's just common sense.

Overall, I would definitely recommend Speechpad to anyone looking for a way to make some extra cash from home. It's simple, straightforward, and the pay is fair. Plus, there's always someone there to help you out if you need it. So go ahead and give it a try!

Speechpad Speechpad Transcription Company Review: Unlimited Earning Potential and Complete Control Over Your Work

This review is gonna be a long one, but trust me, it's worth your time if you're thinking about working for Speechpad. I've been working for Speechpad for two and a half years now, and I gotta say, I love my "job" and wouldn't go to another company for anything. When I started, the qualification test was a VERBATIM insurance file, which is probably the hardest type of file there is IMO. I failed it the first time, but I studied what my mistakes were and when I was sure I understood them, I took it again. I passed the second time - just barely. The new qual tests aren't anywhere near as hard as the test I took.

I see bad reviews that are, honestly, quite ludicrous. When I started, the only jobs I qualified for were for. 25 or. 35 per audio minute. That isn't much, BUT you work your way up to better paying jobs. Consider the lower paying jobs when you start as paying your dues or the probationary period when you start a new job. Most companies won't even consider you for a raise until 90 days after you start. You have to prove yourself. Same thing with Speechpad. If you do a good job on the lower paying jobs and maintain a high quality rating, you start to become qualified for the better paying jobs. It can happen a lot faster than 90 days, too.

Becoming qualified for better paying jobs is partly dependent on how many total minutes you've typed AND your rating. You have to keep your rating up by consistently turning in quality work. We've all had instances where we got a low rating. Sometimes it's you, but sometimes it's not. If you disagree with it, contact them. If you're not sure of something in the guideline or how to type something in the transcription that you can't find in the guideline, contact them right away. Don't wait until after you've submitted the file. If you can't finish in the allotted time, contact them.

If you really did just do a bad job - consider it a lesson and make sure you do better next time. If you consistently turn in bad work, don't expect to continue to be able to work. Whether you're picking up jobs on the Speechpad job board or MTurk, this is still a "job" and there are expectations that you have to meet in order to continue working. A job done isn't the same thing as a job well done. This isn't a survey on MTurk where your answers don't really matter. These are real customers wanting a quality transcription returned to them. Remember that.

The most important thing is to always communicate. You can't solve something if no one except YOU knows there's a problem or a perceived problem. Everyone at Speechpad is open to communication and are extremely friendly, helpful, conscientious, and receptive.

Speechpad is the BEST transcription company out there for a number of reasons. First and foremost, you get to choose which jobs you take. You have complete control over how much you make and how hard or how easy it is to make. That is absolutely priceless. Once you get past the "probationary period" you have unlimited earning potential. Consistently turn in quality work and you can make. 60 and up per audio minute. There are, as I type this, jobs up for $1.60 an audio minute. Does everyone have access to these jobs? No. I've EARNED the qualification that gives me access to those.

Your earning potential is limited only by YOU. That gives you a freedom that clock punchers don't have. There are other transcription companies out there, but they don't give you the freedom of choice, unlimited earning potential, or the flexibility in your schedule that Speechpad does.

Do a GOOD job and you won't have any reason to complain.

Speechpad Speechpad Review: Inaccurate Transcripts and Lack of Attention to Detail

So, I tried out Speechpad for my video transcript and let me tell you, it was a bit of a letdown. The transcript was full of mistakes that were pretty obvious. It seemed like they just ran it through some software without any human intervention. I mean, come on, if you're going to offer a service like this, at least make sure it's accurate, right?

To make matters worse, I'm a UK customer and yet the transcript was all in USA spelling. I mean, what's up with that? It's like they didn't even bother to check where their customer was from. It's a small detail, but it really shows a lack of attention to detail.

Overall, I would say to avoid Speechpad. It's just not worth the hassle of having to go through and correct all the mistakes. There are plenty of other transcription services out there that actually take the time to make sure their work is accurate. Don't waste your time or money on Speechpad.

Speechpad Speechpad Review: Terrible Audio Quality and Unfair Rejection of Submissions

I was doing some work on M-Turk this morning when I saw a link for Speechpad. It seemed like they were trying to recruit people from Amazon, so I decided to look up some reviews before signing up. I was pleasantly surprised by what I found and decided to give it a shot. After completing some tests, I was excited to start my first job. However, the audio quality was terrible. The speaker was constantly stuttering and repeating themselves, making it difficult to transcribe. Despite this, I managed to finish within the required time frame. Unfortunately, my submission was rejected and my username was blocked by Speechpad. It's frustrating to think that they might be taking advantage of people like me who are just trying to make some extra money. If you're considering Speechpad, I recommend checking out reviews on Reddit first. I wish I had done that before wasting my time on this scam.
